کراچی (17جنوری2023): پاکستان ہندو کونسل کے سرپرست اعلیٰ ڈاکٹر رمیش کمار وانکوانی کی زیرصدارت پی ایچ سی منیجنگ کمیٹی کا نئے سال کا پہلا باضابطہ اجلاس منعقد ہوا جس میں سالانہ اجتماعی شادیوں کے کامیاب انعقاد پر اظہارِاطمینان کرتے ہوئے رواں سال کے مختلف امور کو زیربحث لایا گیا، ممبران نے آل پاکستان مینارٹیز ہیریٹج فوٹو کونٹسٹ مقابلے کی اب تک کی پیش رفت کا جائزہ لیتے ہوئے کہا کہ پریس نیٹ ورک آف پاکستان کی معاونت سے منعقدہ تصاویری مقابلے کی بدولت ملک بھر کے مختلف مقدس قدیمی مذہبی مقامات کا کھوج لگانے میں مدد ملی،یونیورسٹی اسٹوڈنٹس اور دیگر مذاہب سے تعلق رکھنے والے پاکستانی شہریوں کی بھرپور شرکت سے بین المذاہب ہم آہنگی اور پرامن بقائے باہمی کا پیغام اجاگر ہوا۔تفصیلات کے مطابق پاکستان ہندو کونسل کی منیجنگ کمیٹی کے ممبران کا اہم اجلاس پی ایچ سی ہاؤس کراچی میں منعقد ہوا جس میں سیکرٹری جنرل پرشوتم رامانی، ایڈوائزر راجا اسرمل منگلانی،جوائنٹ سیکرٹری پمن لال، روپ مالا، منگلا شرما، بھرت کمار منگلانی، وکرم راٹھی، روشن لال سمیت دیگر نے شرکت کی،ڈاکٹر رمیش کمار نے اپنی خیرمقدمی کلمات میں گزشتہ ہفتے ہندو مستحق جوڑوں کی اجتماعی شادیوں کی سالانہ تقریب کے مسلسل انعقادکے16سال مکمل ہونے پر اظہارِاطمینان کیا،ایجنڈہ آئٹم نمبر ایک کے تحت چیف کوآرڈینٹرکرشن ساگر نے آل پاکستان مینارٹیز ہیرٹیج فوٹو مقابلے کے بارے میں بریفنگ دیتے ہوئے بتایا کہ پاکستان ہندو کونسل کی جانب سے پریس نیٹ ورک آف پاکستان کے اشتراک سے گزشتہ ماہ دسمبر میں ملک بھر کے اقلیتی غیرمسلم مقدس مقامات کی نشاندہی کیلئے ملک گیر تصاویری مقابلے کا اعلان کیا گیا تھا، مذکورہ اقدام غیر مسلم پاکستانی کمیونٹی سے وابستہ مقدس مذہبی مقامات کو منظرعام پر لاتے ہوئے انکا کھویا ہوا تقدس بحال کرنے کی ایک کوشش ہے، ایک ماہ کے مختصر عرصے میں توقعات سے بڑھ کر پاکستانی شہریوں کی جانب سے مثبت رسپانس دیا گیا ہے، تصاویری مقابلے میں ہندو، بدھ، سکھ، جین، پارسی اور دیگر غیرمسلم مذہبی مقامات کی پانچ سو سے زائد تصاویر موصول ہوئی ہیں جن میں سے 167کو شارٹ لسٹ کرلیا گیا ہے،اعداد وشمار کے مطابق 43فیصد تصاویر ہندو ہیریٹج مقامات کی موصول ہوئی ہیں جبکہ بالترتیب 10فیصد کرسچیئن ہیریٹج، پانچ فیصد بدھسٹ ہیریٹج، 28فیصد سِکھ ہیریٹج، دس فیصد جین مت اور دیگر مذاہب سے متعلقہ مقدس مقامات کی ہیں، تصاویری مقابلے میں حصہ لینے والے شرکاء میں خواتین کی تعدادلگ بھگ 24فیصد ہے،کرشن ساگر نے اپنی بریفنگ میں مزید آگاہ کیا کہ فوٹو کونٹسٹ کیلئے موصول کردہ تصاویر کے مطابق غیر مسلم اقلیتی کمیونٹی کے 60فیصد مقدس مقامات اپنی اصلی حالت میں موجود ہیں جبکہ 13فیصدویران ہیں، سات فیصد مقامات کو تعلیمی اداروں میں تبدیل کیا گیا ہے،دس فیصد مقامات کو رہائشی اور کمرشل مقاصد کیلئے استعمال کیا جارہا ہے جبکہ ایک اعشاریہ دو فیصد مقامات پر سرکاری دفاتر قائم ہیں۔ ڈاکٹر رمیش کمار نے مینارٹیز فوٹو مقابلے کی پیش رفت پر کرشن ساگر کو شاباش دیتے ہوئے کہا کہ تاریخی عمارات کی صورت میں خدا نے پاکستان کو ایسا انمول خزانہ نوازا ہے جو مذہبی سیاحت کا راستہ ہموار کرکے نہ صرف ہمارے پیارے وطن کو بیرونی قرضوں سے چھٹکارا دلوا سکتا ہے بلکہ ہماری قومی معیشت کو اپنے پیروں پر کھڑا کرسکتا ہے، ملک بھر کے طول و عرض میں واقع آثارقدیمہ کی حفاظت کرنے کیلئے سب سے پہلا قدم آگاہی حاصل کرنا تھا،مجھے خوشی ہے کہ پاکستان ہندو کونسل نے درست سمت کی جانب پہلا قدم کامیابی سے اٹھا لیا ہے، منیجنگ کمیٹی ممبران نے تصاویری مقابلے میں بہترین تصاویر فراہم کرنے والے شرکاء کی کاوشوں کو بھی سراہتے ہوئے کہا کہ مستقبل میں آن لائن دھارمک کوئز سمیت ایسے مزید اقدامات اٹھائے جائیں گے جس سے پاکستان کا مثبت امیج عالمی برادری کے سامنے اجاگر ہو سکے گا۔پریس نیٹ ورک آف پاکستان کی تکنیکی معاونت سے آن لائن فوٹو مقابلے میں حصہ لینے کی آخری تاریخ اکتیس جنوری 2023مقرر کی گئی ہے، بہترین فوٹوز فراہم کرنے والوں کو بالترتیب پچاس ہزار،تیس ہزار اور بیس ہزار روپے کے مالیتی انعامات سمیت تعریفی سرٹیفکیٹس اور دیگر خصوصی انعامات سے نوازا جائے گا، پاکستان ہندوکونسل نے پاکستان کے ہر شہری بالخصوص تعلیمی اداروں میں زیرتعلیم اسٹوڈنٹس اور جرنلسٹس سے اس تصاویری مقابلے میں بڑھ چڑھ کر حصہ لینے کی استدعا کی ہے۔

Briefing on ‘All Pakistan Minorities Heritage Photo Contest’ held

Karachi (January 17, 2023): Under the chairmanship of Patron-in-chief Pakistan Hindu Council Dr. Ramesh Kumar Vankwani, the first official meeting of the PHC Managing Committee of the current year was held at PHC House Karachi, in which various issues were discussed. While expressing satisfaction over the recently-held successful annual mass marriages for the 16 consecutive years, the members also reviewed the progress of the ongoing ‘All Pakistan Minorities Heritage Photo Contest’. On the occasion, Secretary General Prashotam Ramani, Advisor Raja Asarmal Mangalani, Joint Secretary Paman Lal, Roop Mala, MPA Mangala Sharma, Bharat Kumar Mangalani, Vikram Rathi, Roshan Lal and other members were also present.

Dr. Ramesh Kumar in his opening remarks stated that the nationwide photo contest with the collaboration of the Press Network of Pakistan aims to explore, honor and highlight various sacred ancient religious sites across the country. “The message of inter-faith harmony and peaceful co-existence is being delivered through the active participation of Pakistani citizens, especially university students and people of various faiths,” he expressed.

Chief Coordinator Kirshan Sagar, in his comprehensive briefing under the agenda item number one related to the All Pakistan Minorities Heritage Photo Competition, said that a nationwide photo competition was announced last month in December to identify non-Muslim holy places across the country. “In a short period of one month, an amazing  positive response has been given by the citizens of Pakistan,” he said, emphasizing that more than five hundred photos of Hindu, Buddhist, Sikh, Jain, Parsi and other non-Muslim religious places have been submitted in the photo competition so far.

 

He further informed that 167 photos have been shortlisted, according to which, 43% of the photos received are of Hindu heritage places of worship, 10% of Christian heritage, 5% of Buddhist heritage, 28% of Sikh heritage, 10% of Jainism and other religions respectively. The statistics reveal that about 24% of the contestants are females. On the basis of submissions for the photo contest, 60% of the holy places of the non-Muslim minority community are in their original condition, 13% are not in use, 7% of the sites have been converted into educational institutions, 10% of the sites are being used for residential and commercial purposes, and 1.2% of the sites have been transformed into government offices.

 

Dr. Ramesh Vankwani, while lauding the efforts to manage the photo contest smoothly,  said that the land of present-day Pakistan is having thousands of years of ancient history. Our beautiful country is full of hidden architectural wonders and unique sites that make up part of our rich heritage. According to him, the promotion of religious tourism has huge potential not only frees Pakistan from external debt but also strengthens our national economy. “The first step to protect the sacred sites across the country was about awareness,” he stated, adding that “I am glad that the Pakistan Hindu Council has taken the first step in the right direction.”

The managing committee members also appreciated the efforts of the participants who provided the best photos in the photo competition. According to them, more steps will be taken in future including online Dharmik quizzes, which will give a positive image of the country to the international community.

The last date for participation in the photo competition being held with the technical support by the Press Network of Pakistan is 31st January 2023. The contestants submitting outstanding photos will be awarded with winning prizes worth of Rs. 50K, 30K and 20K respectively in addition to special prizes and certificates of appreciation. Pakistan Hindu Council has asked every citizen of Pakistan, especially journalists and students studying in educational institutions to actively participate in this photo competition.
