I just purchased a EX3700 and I am trying to set it up, but the manual says I need a Wifi network manager.
Where can I get this? I looked online but do not feel safe with some of the downloads I viewed. Too bad I cannot find a link on Netgear, or that they did not include it.
Any help is appreciated!

Hi, I've just purchased netgear ac750 model ex3700. I've connected it to the house wifi via wps, all lights are as they should be, open my wifi and can find my house wifi and then the "booster" MY NETWORK plus_2GEXT. when I type in network password, message comes up incorrect password. Yes, I have triple checked password on 3 seperate appliances same thing!!!

Thank you for reaching out. You may try to wired a computer or laptop and try to access mywifiext.net to try to reconfigure or check the password. You may also reset the extender and manually set it up.

So I've noticed the past several days that my phone battery life was extremely poor. Used to be able to go up to 2 days on wifi or more with light use. Now it was barely getting through one day. My phone wasn't staying connected to my home wifi network, and it was also all of a sudden notifying me about free/open wifi networks, which I don't like to connect to.

Turns out, the myCricket app added a "feature" to override the system behavior for connecting to wireless networks. I'm in an apartment building, so there's a lot of wifis around (most of them with security), but also open networks like the "xfinitywifi" networks.

Anyways, I had go in tot he app settings and disable the Wi-Fi Manager (enabled by default), and I also remvoed the Phone and Location permissions as well. I'll also disable background data. That should keep my wifi connection stable, and hopefully my battery. If not, I'll uninstall the app. All I want the app for is an easy way to check my data usage.

I'm writing an app for Android that spawns a service that periodically checks the wifi state and changes it based on some conditions. My problem is that whenever I try to create a WifiManager object to check the state of the wifi (and perhaps control it), it gives me an uninitialized object. Here is the code:

Hello, I want to get a Wi-Fi network list in my application and found out there is a way to use private API framework - MobileWiFi, while it requires special entitlement com.apple.wifi.manager-access. I've tried to add it manually to the entitlements file and I've got an error:

Depending on the wireless router that you use, you can flash the device to DD-WRT and use it as a hotspot. There is an option already built in to use the AnchorFree software and appears to work similar to what hotels provide: paid service wireless. For a tutorial and how to setup a router that's already flashed to DD-WRT with the AnchorFree service look here: This utilizes two separate routers, one for home setup and the second for the "hosted" wifi.

I used the gnome network manager a couple years ago on my gnome setup. Is there any light network manager to use on my openbox-lxde or the gnome is light enough?
I also saw that the NetworkManager needs xfce and gnome dependencies to work properly. Tell me your opinion

I am also including a screen snap of the board manager drop down to show you where your board is. Also note near the bottom the DOIT that the Nerds recommend. Make a few replies to this post with something like hi

If it connects to my home wifi successfully i want it to connect and retry forever until i reset the wifi settings myself with a button. It seems to just try and connect and then create the AP again...

Hey @ajtaylor79 , I was working on an ESP home automation and was trying to figure out how to reconnect to same wifi network.
After days of trying everything I came across this thread and figured out where the above mentioned part of the code is to be placed.

I am trying to get my ZTE Mobley going. I had it up yesterday but when I changed the password and attempted to change the ssid, I got a message saying everything had to be disconnected from the Mobley. I can not get into the attwifimanager to turn it back on. I have tried 192.168.1.1 to no avail. HELP! Not a techie, but fairly literate with things like this Any help will be greatly appreciated. Joyce

The note implies that you should stop/disable connman before starting networkmanager.
There is no need to uninstall it, i.e. you can keep the (inactive) connman settings until you are satisfied with the alternative.
The same applies for other network services.
My favourite go-to for wifi is the (simple, cll) netctl.

BUT when I setup device restrictions so everyone in the house gets a good night's sleep, why are the kids able to simply change the restrictions themselves. How do I stop them being able to manage the wifi network? I can't remove them as managers unless I remove them from the family, according to everything I've read. Please help

Yes mam I uploaded all three files to the ESP32 filesystem which save in data folder and it connected to my local network.
Esp32 and my laptop connected same network. Wifi manager. Htlm file working but index. Html file open browser still hange on that ip address 192.168.1.200

Please help
The data and sketch uploaded correctly
The wifimanager loads and I can enter the WiFi SSID and password
All other actions perform correctly, however when connecting to the ESP the index page does not display.
The router displays the ESP connected.
Everything works but nothing happens.
Can anybody point me in the right direction

By the way if you change the code in the sketch to this
// Set your Gateway IP address
IPAddress gateway (192, 168, 0, 1);
IPAddress subnet (255, 255, 255, 0);
Remember to change it in the wifimanager.html file as well.
to avoid not seeing it on submit.

Hi.
It will only go into access point mode (where you can insert new ssid and password) if it is not able to connect to the previously saved wi-fi network. See the explanation on the diagram: -content/uploads/2021/11/ESP32-ESP8266-wi-fi-manager-web-server-how-it-works.png?w=735&quality=100&strip=all&ssl=1
Of course, you can adjust the code so that it goes into access point mode when you want (when you press a button, for example).

Sara

New user to Zorin-lite, I installed it on my laptop and it works well but I cannot seem to find a way to show/browse any wifi networks. I can connect to a wifi manually if I know its name but surely there is a way to browse and select.

I installed Zorin Lite and am quite fond of it but I cannot find the Wifi Manager.
I can connect to a wifi network manually by entering the name and password and all works well but I can't browse the networks.

After connecting to the wifi router using the Wifimanager plugin, please exit the app and go to your Android Wifi settings. What do you see there? Do you see that you are connected without internet access?

I am trying to update an old project and found that I need wifimanager. I would like my project to run through a router if available or as an AP if no router is available. I just finished reading your instructable and will follow it to update my code. My question is: Can I let wifimanager try to connect, fail, then go into AP mode, load my web page and run normally? The page would have a button to initiate config mode , if needed, rather than having to modify my hardware to add a button.

Now I want to modify my sketch that users can change SSID and password of wifi follow their demand but after they changed they still need to submit the form (with any username and password "xxxxx" ) that I designed in my sketch above . Can you advise what will I do ? Tks

Is there any wifi manager which handles both cases correctly? Or are there some workarounds to make KNM work correctly (1 -- KNM auto-connects with dynamic IP initially ignoring the settings, 2 -- it does not try to reconnect at all).
