Manyof the cheats for the Cats and Dogs Expansion Pack require TestingCheats to be enabled. Please see that page for more information. As with all cheats, it may help to keep the game paused throughout this process.

Two cheats exist to directly set the level of a human Sim's Veterinary and Training skills. With TestingCheats enabled, make active the Sim you wish to change, then open the cheat console again for the following codes.

These cheats add the perk to the current family's vet clinic. Any Sim from the household needs to be at the lot you are affecting; multiple veterinary clinics owned by the same family are handled separately. There is no way to remove a perk you own.

This cheat will set a given human Sim's relationship level with a given animal. It requires TestingCheats enabled. In the following template, "FN" is "First Name," "LN" is "Last Name," and "#" is any integer from -100 to 100 inclusive:

If you wish to convert an animal to a ghost (and thus sadly kill it), there is a two-part cheat for that as well. First, enable TestingCheats. Then, you need to find the in-game ID number of the animal you wish to change. To do this, you need to type the following in the cheat console, where "FN" is "First Name" and "LN" is "Last Name":

With TestingCheats enabled, you can shift-click your pets to add or remove personalities such as what appliances or other objects your pet fears or loves. You can also shift-click your pet to fully edit the animal in Create a Pet in case you want to change their gender or Pet Traits. Breed and body changes can be done in this mode as well, but they can also be done without cheats if a human Sim interacts with a mirror and uses the "Change Sim" command since the entire family (animals included) will be taken to the Create a Sim screen.

I got my sims 3 pets game out after a long time not using it. I insert the disc, and it either says, "disc not found, try again", or something like "Can't confirm disc is valid, contact support". I uninstalled then reinstalled, and when installing, it stops and says "File: E\Caches\Sunset Valley.objectCache Error: Data (cyclic redundancy check)". I assumed this problem was due to damage of the disc (although I don't know that for sure, it doesn't look bad), and gave up.

So I looked on google, and it said I could download the game on origin. I go onto origin, click redeem product code, and it just loads endlessly. When it finally stops loading, it says: "Whoops! We had some trouble processing your request. There could be an issue with your order, please check your order history to see if your transaction was completed successfully, if not, try again later."

@TopEventerTJ The cyclic redundancy check has a few different causes, two of which are a damaged disc and a computer or hard drive that doesn't read it properly. If you want to do a bit more troubleshooting to that end, here's an excellent guide:

The Sims 3 store ( ) is often more reliable for redeeming codes than Origin is. First, though, check your account to see whether you've already registered your Pets code. (Maybe you used it years ago.) When you sign in, click on My Page and scroll down; your owned packs will be listed on the left.

If the store says your code has already been used, you may have added it to another account years ago. If you don't remember which email address you used back then, there might be a file in your old TS3 game folder (provided you still have it), specifically in Documents\EA\TS3\Downloads, that is labeled [your email].bin.

@TopEventerTJ What trouble are you having with getting the game to play? If it's now registered to your account, it should appear in your Origin library when you click on the base game icon (select More > Expansion Packs). Can you not download and install it, does it freeze on the intro screen, etc.? There are a number of different potential issues, so it's hard to know what's not working in your case.

However, the only way to get more pets would be to create them in the create-a-family mode, and then combine those pets and your household together. However, once you have 6 pets, none of your pets can become pregnant (even with the cheat). Also, you cannot adopt another pet, marry someone who has pets, or have someone move in with more pets, even with the cheat activated. But hey, at least there's one way you can get more pets.

Hey, I am having some trouble withs sims pets on the gba. I have both brought and recieved scrolls (about 3) and when I go into my tricks menu they have not appeared I have recieved scrolls prior to this and they have been fine. Has any one experienced this and does any one know whatto do?

If you haven't went into the menu and actually used the scrolls for the tricks, you need to do that. Then you will be able to teach the trick to your pet.

If by trick menu you mean the Pet Pedigree part of the start menu, those are only the tricks you have told your pet to try, so if you haven't told the pet to do it, the trick won't be there.

I am having the same problem. I buy scrolls or I receive scrolls and then I go in and select them so I can teach them to my pet. However, when I select tricks in the pet menu, my new tricks are not there. Its almost like I have too many tricks for what the trick menu allows. I received 3 scrolls from nibbles the rabbit, but I cannot use them. I cannot use the scroll I received from Davor either. Its almost impossible to win the spades competition without these tricks.
