If it's not there, then the only solution I've found was to remove all the contents of the /nexus-data directory and restart the container. That should initialize a new config, including a new admin password, which should now be available at /nexus-data/admin.password.
2nd, the password was not save due to the fact the nx-os7.x image was installed from a 6.0.2 version without BIOS upgrade. To solved the issue, a backup of configuration must be done and then, a ''write erase'' command allowed to the new admin-password to be keept after the reload, nevertheless. most of the configuration was lost. It was not a real password recovery. It seems, if a mistake is made : in this case : upgrade to an nx-os version that needs a BIOS upgrade before (without upgrading the BIOS first) leads the system to do not be able to recongnize the current admin password. A downgrade was possible after an erase config and re introducing the Admin password during the first reload
I have set up Nexus IQ Server with Docker-compose, and I would like to enforce a password complexity policy so that users will not be able to set weak passwords (e.g. enforcing a minimum password length policy). My girlfriend forgot her password on her Nexus 7 and can't remember it. It's written everywhere on the web that you can use the gmail login after 5 wrong passwords but it doesn't seem to work anymore! It doesn't ask for the gmail account and never shows the forgotten password option.
I have changed my password on the website because i forgot the old one and it works on the website. Unfortunately I get the login error with wrong username or passwod on the Nexus Mod Manager program that I install on my PC. I haven't used NMM for over a year but the log details are the same as on the website. It even says on the logging window, am i doing something wrong? I want to replay some fallout 4 and install a wide fix for my 3440x1440 monitor and some sweet new texture packs :( ...... Can anyone please help me solve this puzzle. THX
What do you mean run as administrator is that an option inside NMM ? if you suggest right click and Run as Admin same issue incorrect password or user. I have NMM installed in D not in My C windows partition, looked online and someone suggested that also but still not working. I tried unistalling then a CCclean and restart same issue regrettably.
you might need to look up a tutorial or two to get started with it (if you've never used it in the past) , but I wholeheartedly recommend it over NMM (I've been using it for a long time , and I love it)
Actually it finally worked...... I changed my password TWICE first time same issue then tried it again :))))))) and then finally it logged in. Not sure how but it worked. I was longed in the website so password and user were correct we will never know why it didn't work for the NMM. Anyway happy it works... Thx for the assistance :)
You can define your own password policy and set requirements for password length, complexity, disallowed characters, password change and password history. The solution can integrate with Microsoft Active Directory and reuse the passwords from Active Directory. Then the password policies in Active Directory will apply when a user changes or resets a password.

I have just installed Ubuntu Touch on my Nexus 7. I use Ubuntu on my PC and all of my work computers and love it which is why I decided to try it out on the Nexus. It has all loaded and I can connect to open wifi networks but when I choose a password protected wifi network there is nowhere to enter a wifi password. I have looked and not seen anyone else with this issue. What am I doing wrong?
I set the username/password according to below notes: set the first part of your license key (before dash) in the Username field and the second part of your license key (after dash) in the Password field.

I cant seem to work this out (or maybe its just late!) - I installed Nexus and disabled anonymous access as I intend to proxy nexus on the web. It makes sense that there should be some manner to authenticate against the nexus repository, but I cant find anywhere to configure this.
It happens to everyone: you set a lock screen password in a hurry and cannot remember it the next day. To unlock your device again, you need to reset the password (or PIN, pattern, etc). There are two official methods of doing this.
If you set a pattern to unlock your device, you are in luck. Try to unlock your Nexus device 5 times and a "Forgot Pattern" option will appear. After selecting that, you can enter your Google Account email and password to unlock your device and reset your pattern. If this method does not work for you, try the method below.
Open up Android Device Manager and sign in to your Google Account from another device. From here, click "Lock" next to the entry for your locked device. It will ask you to enter a password (a PIN will also work). After confirming this, hit "Lock" again (ignoring the optional text box).
If all else fails, you could restore to a backup (from recovery) or factory reset your device (again, from recovery, be it a custom one or the stock one. If you are using an unmodded, stock Nexus (and therefore using stock recovery), check out my guide on exploring stock recovery, where the factory reset option is detailed.
Resetting your lock screen password should be an easy job, and it often is...except of course for when it isn't. If all else fails, a full factory reset will work. However, understandably, this is not the most desirable option. The Android Device Manager method is definitely worth a shot, though, if you forget your lock screen password.

It won't let me there was a new update and it doesn't give me the option of forgot lock screen (I did pattern) and yeah I'm like crying over this cuz it cost a lot of money and if there's no way ima be ticked ??????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????
You can validate whether or not the NAC has successfully connected to the Nexus repo. If it were using the wrong password then you would see messages like this every 30 seconds or so:

In the TAC configuration, it doesn't seem to be able to reach the Artifacts repository. I can get to Nexus via the public DNS but I can't login using the Admin account and the password that I set in the cloudformation script.
The first three attachments are what you should see when you log into TAC and select Configuration->Settings on the left hand panel. On the right hand side you will see expandable sections for different configuration groups. The first screenshot shows the Artifact Repository section which refers to the Nexus Server. The second screenshot shows the Software Update section which refers to a different repository within the same Nexus server. The last screenshot shows the User Libraries section.
All of these refer to the Nexus server via its EC2 internal hostname, e.g. ip-10-0-131-87.us-east-2.compute.internal in the screenshots. This is correct since the TAC server belongs to an EC2 security group and subnet that can resolve the internal hostname of the Nexus server.
