The purpose of the grant program is to provide funds for extension projects that have national or regional relevancy. In particular, the program supports extension projects that address emerging forest and rangeland resources through the adoption of climate-smart technologies among forest and rangeland owners.
This summer was an opportunity for intellectual formation and growth. Formation came in two main ways: weekly Bible studies and a weekly speaker series. The Bible study I was in looked at salvation history. It focused on the series of covenants that God made throughout the Old Testament and how Christ fulfilled them all. I led one week of the study, and the experience showed me the work it took to lead a study along with the joy that came with it.
The community of students at our Summer Projects location in Colorado Springs was unlike any other that I have been a part of, and it showed me what vibrant Christian fellowship should be. Our friendships were rooted in Christ and not in worldly desires. It was common to sit down with another student and have a serious conversation about how God was working in our lives. With every relationship oriented toward God, we all grew incredibly close as a community. The proximity of living together helped. We all lived in one wing of a hotel, and being so near to others provided the opportunity to spend time together.
An important aspect of community to mention is our communities in the workplace. The goal of FOCUS Summer Projects is to teach college students to integrate vibrant Catholic living with a full-time job so that, once graduated, students will not dispose of their faith. We as students were employed full-time by the Broadmoor Resort. I worked at one of their restaurants, The Golden Bee, as a food runner. My time there gave me an appreciation for the service industry for the hours they work and the work they put in. Working also provided the opportunity to bring Christ into The Bee. I learned to be open about my faith and grew in confidence in having conversations about God with coworkers and customers alike.
While the community was the most fun aspect of the summer, the availability of the sacraments and adoration for prayer was the most impactful. There were priests living with us throughout the summer, and they provided Daily Mass every morning immediately followed by a holy hour with adoration. The sacrament of reconciliation was also available to us.
Throughout the summer, I was able to see a change in my heart with my view towards the sacraments. I initially enjoyed going to Mass because there was a community there; but as the summer progressed, I found myself desiring to go to Mass. This came from my initial intellectual growth that translated into a change in heart as I mentioned earlier. I came to realize the importance of prayer and the sacraments. Without them, we are spiritually dead. I also came to the humbling realization that I did not set aside enough time in my first year of college for prayer. This summer revealed to me that I need a relationship with God and to know him before ordering the rest of my life. Prioritizing attending Mass and prayer every day sparked a fire in me to continue that practice here in Moscow.

Here are six tactics I use to prevent that from happening, when I'm preparing to undertake any major project. Some are big, some are small, but together they help me stay focused and get the job done. I bet most of these will work for you too.
In the fifth and sixth semesters of their Bachelor's program, students at D-MAVT can deepen and apply their knowledge in so-called focus projects. Their task is to implement new technological approaches from research into future-oriented products. The student teams have one year to develop a prototype. The spectrum of topics is wide - ranging from manufacturing processes and drive systems for vehicles and aircraft to robotics and medical technology. The project ideas are developed jointly by teachers and students, sometimes in collaboration with industrial partners.
In addition to the technical challenges, the students have to master working in a team and develop skills that they have not yet acquired during their studies. They jointly go through the process from the project idea and design studies to finding sponsors and production. Just like later in their professional lives, they have to solve various problems in order to create a functional prototype by the end of the sixth semester. To round of their projects, the students present the results of their work at the Focus Rollout.

I'm wondering if it's possible to create a report that covers multiple projects in SSC. I'd like to create a total snapshot of all of our critical, high, etc. vulnerabilities for management. Any suggestions are helpful. Thanks
Hi Mike, SSC includes a number of reports which are available across multiple projects. These are known as Portfolio Reports and are seeded as part of the default Fortify Report seed bundle - the latest of these being "HP_Fortify_Report_Seed_Bundle_2014_Q1.zip" for SSC v4.1.
To locate the reports simply login to the SSC GUI and head to Reports -> Report Definitions. Select one of those listed under Portfolio Reports and hit Generate. The wizard then allows you to add as many Project Versions from as many Projects as you'd like to cover.
For further details have a look at the . Pages 96 and 111 give specifics on exactly what's available. The Security at a Glance report could be what you're after. These are all BIRT reports however so are fully customisable.
Such a good question. What do you do, indeed? The truth is that the only way to complete goals is to focus on them. If focusing is a problem, then you need to analyze your life and figure out what gets in the way of your focus. I covered how to manage one's projects despite ADHD two weeks ago (How to Work With Your ADHD On Projects). I recommend reading it if you haven't already. However, I can expand on it a bit here.
When you can't pick one project to be the main one, you'll need to experiment by trial and error. Maybe you are like I used to be and have a list longer than Santa's. Every few months, I would have a big meeting with my wife where I would pace and talk while she would take notes. Each meeting, another project or two would get the axe. Whenever I began to feel overwhelmed, or if I began to feel frustrated with my lack of progress, I knew it was time for another meeting.
Over the course of several years, I pruned my project list down to the bare few that I truly cared about versus the ones that simply interested me. The trick here was to keep asking myself "What did I really want to spend my time on?" In this way, I began to develop the motivation I needed.
Part of the meeting's work was to prioritize the projects. Which was the most important? Which was the most fun? Which was only fun, but not truly important? I knew I needed fun projects to keep my sanity, but these meetings would help me clearly see which projects were distractions. I would compare what I spent my time on versus what I wished I spent my time on.
