I'm trying to use airparrot 2 to mirror the screen to the apple tv but it's just a black screen? Anyone have any luck using this program? If not I'm up for recommendions if you know of something better to mirror from pc to Apple TV.
In the FROM section, you can select which streaming mode you want to use: sharing your own display, an extended desktop mode, sharing windows from a specific app, sharing only audio or streaming media.
What are my options for devices to plug into the TV or Projector? I know one option is an Apple TV, but it requires power. Does Roku, Chromecast or the like work support airplay? I suppose I can look this up, just trying to find something solid which may not exist yet. I'm even thinking if a user wanted to travel to another location, they would have their laptop setup with airparrot and then carry a small device to plug into someone TV or projector to receive the signal.
I have this exact same issue. I am able to connect from my windows 10 pc to all of my Apple TVs on my home network via both iTunes for airplay streaming and using AirParrot2 (3rd party software) for screen mirroring. However, at school, my pc won't recognize the presence of the Apple TV that is set to conference room mode. I can connect to the school Apple TVs from my iPhone, iPad and Macbook. Process of elimination indicates that Apple TV conference room and Windows 10 aren't compatible for some reason.
