Hello Leaders,

We are preparing a short write up on Enactus NTU as well as our projects so that members at the booth will be able to share with people more about us during the Open house on 8th March.

I've included what we used during the CCA Open House below for your reference, please update your own project details accordingly by Wednesday, 5th March

Aside to VCB leaders, we do not have a write up on VCB during the Open house so please come up with one. Greatly appreciate that!

I'll send out a final update on the Open house soon. Thank you leaders and hope you'll have a great recess week!

Cheers,
Eunice

Enactus NTU:
We are a student chapter of Enactus, which is an international Non-Profit Organizationthat seeks to use entrepreneurial action to shape a more sustainable world. Enactus has student chapters in 39 countries, and Enactus NTU is one of them in Singapore. As students, we identify needs of the society and develop sustainable business models to improve the standard of living and quality of life of the less privileged. Our cause is supported by business leaders from diverse industries and by Enactus Singapore which provides many trainings and workshops to equip us with business skills. Our projects even have their own advisors and mentors.

Enactus NTU also won the National Competition and represented Singapore at the Enactus World Cup held in Mexico last year.

GG:
Gourmet Guru Limited (GGL) is a social enterprise driven by young and passionate NTU students. GGL helps financially disadvantaged Malay homemakers to commercialize their culinary skills and equip them with necessary business skills to become financially independent. Each GG members had put in hard work and time in this project for the past two to three years. Students learn things in Gourmet Guru Limited differently compare to other ECAs. You will gain new experiences which you will never have in the academic world. Students grow together with Gourmet Guru each day. You will have the chance to apply business knowledge you learn from the textbooks into the real world.

ATypical:
ATypical’s vision is to create effective partnerships with Non-Profit Organisations (NPOs) and empower them to become more sustainable. Our mission is to empower the NPOs by providing innovative solutions to improve their marketing strategies. Equipped with business skills, we are able to effectively apply and transfer knowledge through business tools to help these NPOs.

ATypical is currently partnering with Bizlink, a NPO providing comprehensive employment services for the disadvantaged people. We have worked with the Cards and Gifts division of Bizlink by carrying out market research to identify new trends and developing product ideas to boost the sales of Bizlink. We are also looking into collaborating with BizLink to carry out the following plans:

  • Develop a mobile application to complement their physical cards and raise awareness of Bizlink
  • Improve the current accounting system of Bizlink
  • Organise Flea Market events in NTU
  • Research on ways to improve Bizlink’s online platforms
Brand with Love:
Brand with Love aims to establish a bakery social enterprise in APSN providing stable and sustainable employment for its beneficiaries. Our project empowers persons with mild intellectually disabilities through baking skills. We are currently working with the APSN CFA (Association for Persons with Special Needs, Centre for Adults) to expand their bakery business by marketing and selling cookies to corporations for their pantries, events and corporate gifts.
