Dear Friends in Rotary

Greetings and Good Wishes from our DG Rtn.Asha Prasanna Kumar and the Conference Team!!

Under the able leadership of our DG, we have successfully completed the biggest and most memorable Conference ever-the Conference on the Cruise. This is one Epic event which has never been done before and will take a long time to replicate. Many call it the Never before never again District Conference- a Conference which every delegate on the ship will cherish forever.

We began this journey 18 months back, with meticulous planning to ensure the trip down the Strait of Malacca will be one remembered forever.

All delegates boarded the Mariner of the Seas on 29^th morning and we were welcomed to a sumptuous sit down lunch on Deck 3. At sharp 2pm the 41^st District Conference began with Rtn.Dennis Shore being the Rotary International President’s Representative and our Key note speaker-Mr.Manoj Vasudevan.

The next three days, we witnessed some great sessions on the various avenues of Service spear headed by our Past District Governors, PRID Rtn.Manoj Desai, PDG Rtn.Ravi Vadlamani and 2 special invitees-Mr.D.K.Hari and Mrs.D.K.Hema who inspired us with their talk.

A half day stopover at Penang on 30^th Jan and an entire day at Langkawi on 31^st, did allow the delegates to let loose and enjoy the beautiful beaches. We also celebrated our Governor’s Birthday midnight of 30^th Jan partying till morning of 31^st Jan on the top most deck of the Ship.

The final session ended on Feb 1^st with the presentation of DGN-Rtn.Dr.Sameer & Dr.Roopa Hariani and DGE.Rtn.Suresh & Anita Hari followed by the valedictory session.

The fun continued at Singapore with many Rotarians and families deciding to extend their holiday for a few more days. Many are still yet to return to RI District 3190.
