The Funeral Committee have now released the tentative program of burial of Sam Owori
Dear All,
It is indeed sad and very unfortunate for D9211 and the world at large losing a very dear leader and friend to many, RIPE Sam Owori.A coordination team has been put in place to oversee burial arrangements working hand in hand with the late’s family.
We so much thank His Excellency the President of Republic of Uganda, who upon learning of RIPE Sam’s passing, was able to reach out to Norah and he also directed that the late be given an Official Burial by the state.
As it stands, we hope to have the late RIPE Sam’s Body at Entebbe on the 24th July and Have the Burial on the 29th July. And there are all indications that we are going to host a number of Rotarians from all over the Rotary world coming in to bid farewell to their friend.
The Tentative Programme as per the information available is as follows;
July 24th Arrival of Body -Special Reception at EBB Airport and body taken to Funeral Home
July 25th Body handover to Parliament where it will lay in State for Public viewing and later taken to chambers Government to appreciate and recognize his services.
July 26th Rotary Family to pay respect to our departed Leader in an Interfaith Service at Lugogo Indoor Stadium. Later Body moved to Munyonyo for night vigil.
July 27th Church Service celebrating the late RIPE’s life at St. Paul’s Cathedral, Namirembe.
Body leaves for Tororo
July 28th Night vigil at the late’s Residence in Kidera. Tororo
July 29th Burial at late’s Ancestral place, Kidera, Tororo.

The Organizing committee therefore requests you through your clubs to support our ideas of not only bidding farewell to RIPE Sam but also put in place a significant Memorial in his honor.
