Doodle time!

Dear Club,

Thanks so much to everyone who responded to the survey!  I think I have enough information now to feel good about nominating a time for the meeting:  the weekend of June 21 - 22.  In fact, this seems to be the magic weekend where no one who responded will be on vacation.  It also gives plenty of time for the significant population who requested 4 - 6 weeks to finish the book.  

OK, in full disclosure, I should add that the following weekend, June 28 - 29 seemed to work for people as well.  I will also be in town for that one, but Tim will be gone.  So, if we were to do that instead, I would just have to find childcare for the afternoon.  Which is totally possible, although rendered slightly more difficult by the fact that my main go-to sources, Sally and Gaby, are both in the club.  Anyway, it's workable, so I included those days in teh doodle.  If it makes more sense to meet that weekend, I will definitely be able to figure it out.

Anyway, here is the doodle.  Please response with your availability and I'll confirm a date soon (48 hours?) so we can get it on our calendars. 

In the meantime, please enjoy this digitized version of the comic book produced about Harry Truman's life for the 1948 campaign.  When I read about its existence, I felt an overwhelming need to possess a copy.  Sadly, the cheapest ones are $70, but I was cheered when I found this complete version of it online at the Truman Library website.  It's too fantastic for words.  Please set aside 20 minutes to look through the whole thing.
