Greetings to you from Jumuiya Women Fund (JWF) based in Eldoret, Kenya. JWF is a women’s rights fund and the first of its kind in Kenya, committed to women’s empowerment and self-reliant development.
The vision of JWF is to have a world where all women live in peace, with dignity and justice and where there is equality and respect for women’s rights.

We wish to cordially invite you to support our project "Empower 550 Women in Kenya with Microcredit Loans" on GlobalGiving, which started accepting donations on Monday, June 08, 2020 at 09:00 AM EDT!

Our target is to raise US$49,000 which will be used to provide small grants or loans (free or low interest) to women pursuing small businesses of their own. One of such business ideas is to train key women to become distributors of Kerosene stoves
The awarding of loans and grants will be based on established small businesses or clearly outlined new ideas. The impact of this project is that women will be empowered to become self-reliant and self-sustaining. It gives them the financial independence that they rightfully deserve.
ABOUT THE JUNE 2020 CROWDFUNDING ACCELERATOR
Under this scheme, we are supposed to raise US$5,000 from 40 unique donors during the crowdfunding campaign. If we meet this condition, then we will become a permanent GlobalGiving partner
So we are looking for supporters who are able to donate online
Accordingly, we wish to kindly request you to help us by identifying friends who can raise this amount, because, if we do not raise $5,000 USD from at least 40 unique donors during the fundraising time frame, our project will be retired
The Crowdfunding campaign ends on June 26, 11:59 p.m. ET
HOW WILL YOUR CONTRIBUTION BE RECOGNISED?
Recognition of contributions is commensurate with the amount of gift. Acknowledgements will be made yearly in JWF annual report and other published materials. Various forums organized by JWF also provide opportunities for continued recognition of givers. JWF is appreciative of all givers and commits itself to keeping them up to date about the impact of the work they continue to support.
