Dear Rotarians

This year, Rotary in our District has been exceptionally a great year both on District as well as Club levels.  With RI's objectives of promoting and rebranding Rotary, many Clubs have embarked on remarkable and well publicized projects reflecting the year theme " Reach Within to Embrace Humanity"    District projects, from the Kinabalu Climb, the Rotary Square and the recently completed I Choose To Reuse projects received much media publicity.  If we continue this momentum, Rotary's presence in Malaysia will be more visible – you are the " Changemakers"

As we are now in the final month of the RY2011-2012, we are compiling and producing a Coffee Table Book to present the various District and Club Projects carried out reflecting the theme "Reach within to Embrace Humanity"

We are extending to all our 75 Clubs in the District to submit your most significant Club project to be included in the book.

Please follow closely the following guidelines:
  1. Rotary Club of __________________________________
  2. Project Title : ___________________e.g "Clean Drinking Water for Children"
  3. A high resolution project photo – a photo that best describe your project
  4. Project description : In 80 words – tell us a story of your Club's greatest project
This is a time sensitive production, and we would need all submissions to reach the District Secretariat byFriday, June 15, 2012.  Please convey this message to your Club as we would want all Clubs to be included.

Thank you for being part of this great year.

Yours in Rotary

Regards
PP Dr C S Paul
District General Secretary

dear Paul,

ROTARY CLUB OF DAMANSARA

Community Water Project

@ SRJK(T) Pulau Carey Barat, Klang Selangor, 26th November,2011

The project is on a primary Tamil school in Carey Island, includes construction of a well, repair of the toilets, washing basins and drinking taps. It was completed in 3 months. The school headmaster expressed his gratitude to Rotary because after completion the facility provided drinking water to about 85 students and staff of the school. It provided for good sanitation to the students whose female population is more than 60%. This project was jointly sponsored by our sister club, Rotary Club of Anna Nagar.
