The Kansas Historical Society assists cultural resources across the state through various financial incentive programs.  The following grant-assisted projects are seeking proposals, bids, or qualifications from consultants or contractors.  Please address all inquiries to the project contacts listed.

 

ARKANSAS CITY - The City of Arkansas City is soliciting proposals from individuals or firms qualified to prepare a National Register of Historic Places (NRHP) nomination for the Arkansas City Downtown Commercial Historic District.  The nomination will support efforts to preserve and revitalize this important community asset.  A survey was completed in 2018, and this nomination will amend the current Historic District. Bid/RFP Due Date: Thursday, May 1, 2025 - 3:00pm. Visit the link below for more information.

CONCORDIA - The National Orphan Train Complex, Inc. is seeking bids for work associated with foundation repairs at the 1917 Union Pacific Depot that houses their museum. Bids will be received by the NOTC Board of Directors, 300 Washington Street, Concordia, Kansas 66901 until 4 p.m. CST on May 23, 2025. All inquiries about this Invitation to Bid and requests for copies of the full scope of work / plans may be directed to Wonda Phillips, NOTC Treasurer, 785-614-1069
