The Greeley Historic Preservation Commission is starting a project to create a resource guide about how to find a contractor for old building owners (not necessarily only designated property owners), including preservation terminology, questions to ask contractors, etc.  The Commission is also starting a separate project to create an informational brochure targeted at real estate professionals, as well as prospective buyers to give the facts about preservation and old buildings, answer common myths.  Does your community have any kind of brochures or resource guides that cover those topics (or similar) that we could look at to get ideas (and not reinvent the wheel)?  If so, could you please send either a copy of the brochure/resource guide, a pdf or an online link?  Also, can you give me an idea of how long the project took, how much money and if you did it in-house or outsourced it.

Thank you so much for your help!  I look forward to hearing from you and have a great day!  Let me know if you have any questions or if there is anything I can do for you.

HDI has a Resource section on their website with a lot of this type of information, as does CPI I believe. The Department of Local Affairs, has this type of information too, "How to hire an architect." etc.
Hope that helps, Gheda
