Does anyone know if there are insurance companies that specifically offer polices for designated buildings? An owner of a landmarked building here in Boulder is in a high-risk area (flood) and is wondering about potential relief for designated buildings.

I’ve heard Lloyd’s of London actually has better flood coverage than some of the other flood underwriting companies here in Colorado. There are also one or two insurance companies that advertise in the National Trust magazine which specialize in historic structures. Of course, top of the line insurance costs top of the line prices, but in the long-run if there is a loss it may well be worth it.
