Hello,
The City of Boulder has received a CLG Grant to develop a Historic Resource Survey Plan to assess current records and prioritize area and resource types for further documentation. The goal of the Survey Plan is to make the city’s historic preservation efforts more proactive and predictable by identifying eligible resources and prioritizing which buildings and areas are important to preserve in the near and long term. The Survey Plan will:
• Assess current survey records and prioritize areas and resource types for future documentation;
• Assess areas in greatest need of survey/resurvey (site visits and limited photography);
• Reassess the map of potential historic districts;
• Update Boulder’s Historic Context Project Study to identify and prioritize future context reports based upon current and projected conditions;
• Update History of Boulder to reflect period of development through 1980;
• Make recommendations and prioritize areas and types of resources for future survey/resurvey;
• Establish an Implementation Plan (including proposed timelines and potential funding sources)
The plan will be informed by input from the Landmarks Board, City Council, local stakeholders, and the broader community.
Please see the attached Request for Proposals and contact Historic Preservation Planners Marcy Cameron or James Hewat (contact info below) with any questions. Proposals will be accepted until Friday, January 22, 2016.
