Waste Water Management

This article is based on a News item In Times of India dated 17th
November. One Mr. Indra kumara who has retired from a Multi National
company where he was employed as a technician, who had carried out
excellent water management job at his own home, at the outskirts of
Chennai.

He has carried out all the works in a very scientific way so that all
waste is converted into manure and all water used to their maximum use
for plants and other external purposes.

His septic tank where his sewerage is collected is as clean and smell
like ordinary water because he has introduced a bacteria , Bacillus
Subtilis, which neutralizes the solid particles and converts them into
compost manure within a very short time and hence does not have any
foul smell. He uses this manure for his vegetable garden where he
grows all kitchen vegetables for his use.

The waste water from Kitchen is send to a pit where he grows earth
worms which uses the water and converts the solid matter into a manure
which otherwise would have caused a problem in getting collected as
pools. The earth worm also eats the mosquito eggs and prevents the
breeding of mosquitoes.

The bath room water is sent to a small pond where CAMA plants treat
the soap water and removes the chemicals of the soap.

Indra Kumar also harvests rain water and recharges his earth and
ground so that he has plenty of good and potable water for his use
throughout the year.

If everybody or at least 1 percent of our population have any feeling
and follow the ideas of Indra Kumar, the world would / could change
into a paradise.
