I'm very excited that there's been so much activity around
Presentation Camp. The SF session at the SlideShare office is coming
up on March 21st and we need to set an agenda.

Please use this thread to propose and comment on Presentation Camp
ideas! As an incentive we'll be giving away free tickets for ideas
that are particularly interesting or popular.

Daniel,

0. My experience with various unConferences includes those with a mix of prepared sessions (where some people seed the agenda with topics) and open sessions (determined onsite early in the day, when everyone is present, and the size/equipment available for different meeting spaces is known).  I'm assuming your request is to populate the prepared sessions.  Are you planning to have all sessions pre-determined?  Or will there be opportunities onsite to add more?  (I'm also familiar with the model where all sessions are determined onsite, but I'm guessing from your request that this model is not the one that will be used on March 21.)

Here are a  few ideas for sessions

1. Speed Preso (a la Speed Dating) - 3-5 minute round robin sessions where you get a chance to present successively to others attending the session.  (When you don't complete your presentation within the time limit, you'll get practice at tightening up the Presentation to fit the time limit)

2. Lessig-style (many slides, limited text per)

3. Image-style (a la Duarte or Presentation Zen)

4. Audience dimensions that influence presentation format/style (physically local with presenter; physically remote; mixed; temporally remote (not live))

5. Disability access to a) either 2 or 3 above, or to b) speech/sound accompanying recorded or remote-presentations

There's a start.

Thanks Nancy for kick starting this.

We're going to have some planned sessions and the rest decided onsite.
Wanted to use this to populate a few of the pre-planned sessions and
get some ideas going. I'm hoping have a list of ideas here will help
get people thinking about what they could propose or see what types of
ideas seem to be popular.

Nancy,

We are thinking of a 3-4 planned sessions and the rest whatever people
propose and gets decided on the day. Anyone who wants to propose one
can do so.

Why don't you post any session you want to propose on the wiki here:
https://barcamp.pbwiki.com/PresentationCamp-SF

It will be nice to start having a list there...

I've read through "presentationzen". I could show a few examples that
I've created that clients love.

I create presentations - I am not a presenter, although I am a teacher
so I guess I am a presenter.

I can help organize with anybody. Just suggest what you would like me
to help with.

Thank you,

I am very interested in getting someone to present on Beyond Bullet
Points presentation style. This is a structured way on building a
presentation from outlining content to picking graphics to support
ideas. It is based on brain research and helps the presenter apply
rules that make a presentation memorable and effective.

Pat:

This may be a bit late, but I could show what I have done for
presentations "beyond the traditional bullet point" Hate the '•' its
so boring.

Feel free to come by and do a session. BTW, Cliff Atkinson (from
