I'm happy to organize. Who else wants to do this in NYC?

There are so many people who would be interested in this in New York.
We will add a note about all the proposed cities in our newsletter.
That should help get attention of more people in each city.

Hi all. Just discovered this group. I would love to attend a NYC
PresentationCamp.

I'm a public speaking coach (among other things) and a VizThinker
(www.VizThink.com) as well.

So I think it's official that there is a definite interest in this,
but we need someone to step up and organize us and to find a venue.

I recommend a BarCamp-style of organization (as the PresentationCamp
name would suggest). That insures that all the weight is distributed
amongst everyone present.

Who's game?

Cheers,
Mike G.

I think I can definitely help with the venue and things of that
nature. Can we get a definite list of folks who are gamr to do this?
Should we meet?

Ok folks.. I'm putting a stake in the ground. For lack of a better time/place, I propose we meet Saturday 18th of April to lay out ground work for our conference. I'm flexible with time and place but will throw out 2:00 pm at Snice in the West Village. It's a Vegetarian Cafe with good coffee and free wireless. See link for directions http://www.menupages.com/restaurants/snice/.    If this doesn't work for folks, I'm happy to change, just want to get the ball rolling. In the meanwhile, I check on space to make sure we can get it.

Look forward to meeting everyone!

Count me in for 4/18 at 2pm and for helping to run a NYC Prescamp.
There are lessons learned from the one at Stanford U in February and
some other stuff I can share.

best to make it.

Hi,

I would love to be involved with this. I co-organized a "podCamp"
which is the bar-camp style "unconference" for social media.
I am in the Philadelphia area, but still want to help launch a NYC-
based presentation camp.

I would like to be conferenced into the meeting if possible. You
mentioned WIFI connection,so IF POSSIBLE I'd like to attend via Skype
(video). If not, just a phone connection would be great.

Do you think that's possible? Mary Ellen or Loretta can I coordinate
with one of you?

also - Lisa, would love to hear more about PodCamp.

Confirmed:
Saturday 18th of April 2:00 PM
[at Snice in the West Village. It's a Vegetarian Cafe
w/free wireless. http://www.menupages.com/restaurants/snice/]

Mary Ellen - will you be able to conference me in?

All: Today I used FREE conferencing software (like WebEx) but all you need
is a browser. It's dimdim.com --we could use that or we could just use
skype or whatever is easiest.

My skype name is lisabmarshall.

I look forward to talking with everyone too. This is going to be fun.

This is great to hear, that planning for New York Presentation Camp is
starting. I am watching from the sidelines here - holler if you need
any pointers from our experiences with San Francisco PresentationCamp.

We can also help you get word out once you have a date (by posting on
the SlideShare newsletter which has a very wide reach).
