Topic for Consensus: The Number of Transport Options for Query Messages

From our 11 March WebEx: Both HTTP and SOAP bindings seem appropriate for the query use case. Is it necessary to choose a single standard or could multiple bindings co-exist?  During the meeting, the use of Direct was also suggested, as it has bearing on a subsequent topic of security protocols.

We would like to open the topic for comment here, and plan to discuss at our next meeting on 25 March.
