make lunch reservation for Feb. 2

We need to know if you're coming to lunch.

 

Our good friends and soon-to-be fellow church members at Shady Grove Presbyterian are looking forward to our procession over there on Sunday morning, Feb. 2. [Note that their worship begins a little earlier than ours, 10:30. As soon as I have word from the decision-makers, I'll let you know what time the procession from our parking lot is to begin -- it's not far, so I'm guessing around 10:00, to allow time for parking and gathering ourselves at the other end.]

 

Also, to welcome us in the way good Southern church folks welcome one another, they're putting together a pot luck lunch in our honor for after the service, featuring fried chicken and baked potatoes. (The menu alone is yet another indication that Presbyterians and Baptists around here have some very important things in common.) For this one, they bring the food; we bring ourselves.

 

They need a definite head count for the lunch no later than Wednesday, Jan. 29. Laura Flippin has graciously agreed to collect the names of those who plan to come and eat. 

 

So sometime before Jan 29, please email or call Laura and let her know if you, and anyone with you, plan to come to the lunch at Shady Grove after worship on Feb. 2. We need name(s) and how many.  Here's the contact info:
