I hope everyone got it right. The answer is (c). It's also the lead piece in Shady Grove's weekly newsletter (below).

 

Laura Flippin reports that as of today's lunch sign-up deadline, we have 67 people who have signed up to stay for lunch after worship, which means that at least 67 of us plan to be part of worship -- Hallelujah! People in both congregations -- to be one congregation in a few days -- are excited. Sunday is shaping up to be a glorious day of resurrection.

 

Due to the larger-than-expected lunch sign-up (about twice what we anticipated) it would be nice if some of us could help with the food. We're looking for a designated person to head that effort at our end, but in the meantime, please email me if you can help with food.  

 

Finally, as you've probably heard, the joining Shady Grove officially is a one-by-one process, whereby each candidate for membership meets with the "session" (the local church governing body) and tells about his or her Christian pilgrimage. There will be more info on this soon, but for now just know that (1) it will take a while before everyone has the opportunity to go through this formal process, perhaps a few months, and (2) in the meantime, Jarad assures us, for all practical purposes all of us who attend Shady Grove will be part of the faith family there from the start.

Calling all Shady Grove Parents! How would you like a parents' night out? On the first Friday of each month, Shady Grove's babysitting co-op is happening from 5:30-8:30 pm.
