What an amazing day Sunday was as we moved over the Shady Grove! Despite the cold, rainy weather, at least twice our normal Sunday worship attendance was present to make the transition, and when we all arrived to gather as one new body of Christ to worship and sing and pray and break bread, the spirit was tangible. It was truly a historic day, and a great start for a new life together. 

 

In the next week or two we hope to send out a final edition of Emergings, with news & photos from our transition to Shady Grove, and also with (among other things), a final list of PMBC members' birthdays for the entire calendar year so everyone can have that for future reference if you need it. If you think Mary Alice Brake may not have your birthday, please contact her and give it to her -- only the day & month are needed, not the year. She has a pretty complete list, but it's possible there are a few missing ones, especially those who started coming to church fairly recently. The Prescott office phone # is 327-8479, and Mary Alice's email is mab...@juno.com. She will continue to work in the Prescott office through this month.

I've been informed that a decision has been made to have one more Wed night supper at our 961 Getwell site, on Feb. 12, followed by one more Adult Hymn Sing (when we gather in front of the sanctuary and take requests, and we sing our hearts out). We'll have a birthday cake at the end of dinner for everyone celebrating a Feb. birthday.
