TC presbytery meeting

Wow! I have never enjoyed a meeting so much! I came home fired up.
The worship was great and I think having communion on Friday evening
was a good idea. In the past it was held on Saturday, last thing on
the agenda and so many people left early. The closing worship this
time was awesome too.

I was happy to share about the Supper@HisHouse soup kitchen. It was
fun to see the interest expressed by others
I came home and rewrote my sermon. The liturgist Sunday morning
whispered to me, during the passing of the peace, "Who lit a fire
under you pastor?"

As treasurer of our Clergy Association I get to issue food vouchers to
folks who come looking for some help. I didn't think is was "mission"
so much as just part of what I do for the association. God confirmed
for me that it was indeed mission, and I was brought to tears Sunday
morning when 9 (NINE) people, who I had encountered came to worship.
Relationships had been formed! Lives were touched. Mission is
evangelism, and witness, and what it is all about.

I am excited to see where God will lead us next.

Thanks council. I feel connected to and empowered by the
presbytery.
