Hi all,

Gentle Reminder,

1. Carpet cleaning on the 25th of December, Sunday morning. 
    Ensure that all boxes and items are cleared from under your table so the cleaning can reach every corner.

2. There will be a power shutdown at NC at 10pm this Saturday 24th December (Christmas Eve).
    Ensure all PCs, Macs, and proofers are switched off before leaving the office.
    Rosazizi (Safety Manager) will contact the foremen on duty around 9pm to verify that all jobs have been completed.

3. On Monday morning, 26th December, to send a test page file to ensure that the job can be processed and well received at the press site.

4. Shin Min of issue 26th Dec will be offstone at 12.30pm. The tagging of articles should be completed by 2pm.

Annual Power Shutdown at News Centre

24 Dec 22 (10pm) to 25 Dec 22 (8am)


Dear Colleagues

Our Annual Power Shutdown (APS) is planned on 24 Dec (Sat) at 10pm to 25 Dec 22 (Sun) at  8am, to facilitate the servicing of NC's electrical equipment and switchgears.

During this scheduled period, t
here will be no electricity supply to offices and network equipment rooms. Data Centre and SPH Radio equipment will be backed up by generators, to continue business as usual.  

We seek your collaboration as follows: 

Prior to APS
a) save your work, switch off all electronic equipment (e.g. desktops and print fleet), to prevent damage in the event of power surge
b) lock up all your valuables and remove perishables from fridge  
c) vacate the office on Christmas Eve by 9pm  

Post APS
a) enter the office only upon receipt of All Staff Broadcast announcing completion of APS and restoration of electrical power supply
b) check on all critical electronic equipment to ensure they are functioning properly
c) report on any issues immediately to APS project team members stated below
