EARLY RELEASE ON LUNAR NEW YEAR’S EVE

 

 

Lunar New Year falls on 22 January (Sunday) and 23 January 2023 (Monday). 

 

As a customary practice, colleagues celebrating the Lunar New Year working on 21 January 2023* (Saturday), the eve of the Lunar New Year, will enjoy a half-day off or early release from 12.45 pm onwards. Employees on shift roster can be released after half a shift has been performed. This is subject to exigencies of service.

 

However, there will not be any payment or benefit in the event that an employee cannot be released because of exigencies of service. In addition, half-day leave taken on the eve of these public holidays will be treated as full-day leave.
