Thisverification allows you to check the status of credentials issued by Connecticut DMV, including: non-driver identification, learner permit, driver license, commercial driver license, or endorsements. If your driving record is listed under a case number(case numbers begin with '300')this verification cannot be used.

You must physically carry a current and valid driver license to operate a motor vehicle. If you switched to a non-driver identification card while your license was suspended, you must have your license reissued prior to driving.

If you received advance notice of a pending suspension, disqualification, downgrade, or revocation, recheck your credential status after the date given in the notice to determine if the suspension is in effect.

Please don't contact us to check the status of an application. During this time, we are not able to provide immediate responses regarding application status. Instead, we ask that you check the status of your pending license on the Department of Health's Provider Credential Search. A customer service representative will email you detailed instructions if anything is missing from your application. Healthcare facilities are communicating directly with the Nursing Commission regarding expediting applications for COVID-19 response.

The review process timeline for licensure decisions related to applicants applying based on a program from another state often takes 8-12 weeks from the time the paid application is received.

How do I Print my License Certificate? Since educators can now go online and print a copy of their licenses, we no longer mail them. You will need to create an account for our Educator Licensing Online system. Please note that license certificates are only available when the license status is either Current or Next License Cycle Approved. Steps to print the certificate:

Note: Licenses and permits issued by the DPI usually have a start date of July 1 and expire on June 30. If you submit a complete and accurate renewal, advancement, or upgrade application before June 30, Wis. Stat. 227.51 (2) provides that your existing license does not expire until the DPI completes the processing of your application.

DPI reviews each paid application before making the final licensure decision. The length of this review process may vary due to the complexity of the transaction(s) and the volume of applications received. The process may take 6-8 weeks or more. Reviews are delayed if any required information is missing. Only if you are contacted by DPI should you resubmit, edit, or upload additional documents or information. You will be notified via email regarding the final licensure decision.

*All paid applications will be reviewed by DPI. The length of the review process and possible approval will vary due to the complexity of each application and overall volume of applications received. This process may take 6-8 weeks.

The quickest and easiest way to apply for Massachusetts licensure is via our Educator Licensure And Renewal (ELAR) portal. Please note: first-time users of the ELAR portal will need to create a profile prior to submitting an electronic application via ELAR.

Applicants who experience difficulties applying or submitting a payment for a license/endorsement in ELAR, have the option to download, print, and mail in (do not upload a licensure application into your ELAR account) a hard-copy of the form to the Office of Educator Licensure via standard mail methods. Please note that this submission method can involve a substantially longer processing time.

If a license is not approved after a first evaluation is conducted by our evaluator team, you will receive a detailed evaluation letter. This letter can be accessed via your ELAR account. To view the letter, log into ELAR, click on the Check license status and history, make a payment link on your ELAR Welcome page. Scroll to the bottom of the page and click on the correspondence history button. There you should see your previous and most recent correspondence, notifying you of outstanding requirements and how you may satisfy those requirements.

Once you have applied for a license you can log into your ELAR account at any time to check the status of a license application, upload additional documents, and even view submitted documentation and correspondence.

Official copies of all college transcripts (*Official copies do not need to be in a sealed envelope. An official transcript/copy of official transcript must show the registrar's signature, degree conferred, and date degree is conferred (if applicable).

If you are seeking licensure on the basis of foreign (non-U.S.) coursework and/or diploma(s), you will be required to provide the Office of Educator Licensure with a detailed equivalency report of all college-level coursework completed. Please note that independent evaluations must be conducted by a nationally recognized agency.

You will receive a confirmation email upon our receipt of your supporting documentation. However, if you would like to verify that we have received all requested documentation, please log into your ELAR account and select the Check license status and history, make payment link on your Welcome to ELAR homepage. Scroll to the bottom of the Inquiry - Activity Summary page to find the View Documents button in order to view your submitted documentation.

Members of the public may conduct an online public search for a licensee by clicking on the button below. The information available through a public search includes the license status (e.g., active, inactive), date of first licensure (i.e., the issuance date for the first license received), rank date (i.e., the issuance date for the current license held), expiration (expiry) date, any specialty designations associated with the license (e.g., supervisor status), as well as any publicly available disciplinary history. If a licensee has a publicly available disciplinary history the search results will contain a section entitled Reports Available for Download. This section will contain a link to any disciplinary action taken against the licensee. If no such section appears in the search results then the licensee does not have any publicly available disciplinary history.

The information available through the online verification system is both accurate and based upon agency records. Search results from the online verification system are considered primary source verification.
