Hi Guys,

Since the author is not responding to email, tweets, google plus, facebook, I have created a fork of the codebase at github.

This will help folks willing to contribute to quickly fork repository and add in their changes.

I don't guarantee that i will actively add more features to the code base. However i am one of the user and i do find some features missing so i will try to work towards adding those features in the system.

right now repository has one commit additional to what author did originally.

that commit enables psuedo presentation mode by overridding vol up and vol down to page up and page down.

I see that there are large number of users actively using this softwares if i see substantial changes in code base i will go ahead and release it as a new entity in Playstore too.

Request all folks to add issues in github going forward and i will try my level best to see if i can add those changes in the project.

Secondly contributions and patches are welcome in the project.

One thing I'm having a lit of trouble with is trying to get it to actually build. For whatever reason, the Server portion won't even attempt to build at all because it just won't recognize launch4j at all.I remember needing to tell Eclipse to not use it, but for the life of me I can't figure it out again. Any hints? I'd rather skip launch4j if possible...

Okay, figure it out. After removing all instances where launch4j was mentioned, it builds!
Then I had to change the library up to java 1.7 instead of 1.6, so hopefully improvements might be on their way! :)

Awesome. Be sure to commit it on github repository also.
launch4j is actually a pain in various places to configure.

I'm not sure, but I can't figure out how to commit to your repository. Perhaps I'm not added as a contributor or something? I think I did the cloning correctly, but I'm not certain how to commit the changes back to it.

git.exe push --progress  "origin" master:master

multiple options
You will have to fork it in your userid and then once you commit to your repo you need to create a pull request.
If that's too long just send me the diff to my email id i will try merging otherwise
send me your github userid.

Sweet! Looks like that worked then. :)
Now, All I have to do is figure out how to get the protocol library to be recognized. I just keep getting these "unable to find" errors whenever I try launching the APK. I Figure it has something to do with the newer version of the android SDK (google seems to believe it's a jar thing), but the requested package isn't in a jar, or in a libs folder, so that makes this all the more confusing... More things to tackle tomorrow then. :)

Just reviewing the group for possible help compiling this, and I realised I had this working back in 2011!
I'm considering attempting to rebase the project, as nothing I do seems to allow the Protocol part of the app seems to work...

Good news! I made a commit that should help new clones build for the first time! After six hours of pulling hair strands out, I finally figured out how to convince the current code to build and run (both server AND client, before only the server portion was running right).
Things I will start tackling again (recreating from what I had done back in 2011) will be continuous screen updates, better keyboard support (for swype style keyboards), and a few other small bugs I find as I work on this. Now the fun can finally begin!
