In the Summer of 2020, as our favorite indoor Yoga studios were forced to close, a few friends found ourselves in need of an open air studio for our daily yoga practice and started coming to Hollywood Forever to practice safely together in the mornings.
Gentle Yoga
A supportive and relaxing yoga class is ideal if you are new to yoga or have difficulty with full mobility. Gentle yoga helps you increase balance, flexibility, and strength while creating ease for your body and mind.
In addition to classes, we offer Mind and Body Programs, such as tai chi. Our programs take place in person over several weeks and focus on strength, balance, and improving your overall mind and body.
Over 35 years ago, our founders Maty Ezraty, Chuck Miller, and Alan Finger were among the first yoga practitioners to bring ancient yogic teachings to the Western world. As pioneers in delivering authentic, sustainable yoga practices, we aim to share yoga with people from all walks of life.

CHA yoga classes are taught by certified instructors and designed for all ability levels. To ensure your safety, you should be cleared for exercise by your doctor and be able to get up and down from the ground without assistance.
Danae Laura is a RYT200, scholar, activist and teacher. She enjoys teaching beginners to build their practice, and advanced students to attune their sense of subtlety. Danae has been practicing yoga for twenty years and teaching for eight. She has made a home at CHA, and appreciates practicing alongside employees and patients. Danae prides herself in retaining longterm students and developing bonds between students through a communal sense of purpose and practice.
She is at Lesley University earning her Masters in Mindfulness, and she collaborates with the nonprofit CMind, the Contemplative Mind in Society, which provides a meeting and teaching space for professionals bringing contemplative studies to higher education across the globe. Danae also works with Cultural Survival to partner with Indigenous Peoples. All of her efforts incorporate racial justice, and she intends for her classes to be a home for everybody and all bodies. Our yoga classes are designed to be inclusive for all levels. You will never be encouraged to do any position you are not comfortable with an alternative poses are often available. Instructors offer a variety of poses to accommodate all ability levels.
