One element of the "Dead Space" remake that won it praise from critics and that it does better than the original is the addition of new side quests. Among these quests is the long, but very rewarding, Premeditated Malpractice quest, which tasks players with, among other things, finding Nicole's report on the bridge. Finding this report is the part of the quest that players are most likely to get stuck on, but that doesn't mean they should choose to abandon it.
Once they've received the Premeditated Malpractice quest in Chapter 5, players will be tasked with traveling around the Ishimura to gather various pieces of information, uncovering data, and scanning tissue samples. After a long tour of the ship, this will eventually take them to the bridge in order to obtain Nicole's report which is hidden there. Unfortunately, no marker is provided to show exactly where this report is and it's not even clear what the report is stored on or in. On the other hand, it's not really hidden either.
For those unsure of exactly where to go or what the terminal looks like, Guides Gamepressure provides a quick walkthrough that shows where to go when entering the main atrium from the top right of the map. Most, however, shouldn't have much of an issue, and the report will be in hand in a matter of moments.
After the launch of Dead Space 3 and the eventual shut-down of Visceral Games by EA in 2017, the franchise has been on a lengthy hiatus. Thankfully, things changed after EA Motive announced it was working on a Dead Space remake, bringing the original game back with all new updates and technological advancements. EA Motive maintained that Dead Space is not intended to be a 1:1 remake of the original game, and while the story remains largely the same, the studio made a number of quality of life changes.
In addition to the Frostbite engine being used to power the experience with updates assets, lighting, and environments, EA Motive also updated some of the gameplay elements that didn't work as well such as the Turret and anti-gravity sections. To help flesh out key characters and lore of this world, side missions were introduced inside of the Dead Space Remake. For completing these missions, players may also earn some valuable rewards that could help make surviving the USG Ishimura slightly easier.
One such side mission in Dead Space called Premeditated Malpractice tasks players with locating a report detailing a conversation between Dr. Nicole Brennan and Captain Mathius. Here is where players can find the report as well as what sort of reward is waiting.
Before the report can be found, Dead Space players need to start a side mission called Premeditated Malpractice. This can be started until Chapter 5: Lethal Devotion where players can retrieve a tissue sample of Mercer's Hunter necromorph towards the end of the mission. Head to the Main Lab beyond Ore Storage, interact with the terminal on a desk, and players will be asked to find a report back at the bridge.
At this point, players will need to head back to the Main Atrium of the Bridge Deck on Floor 4. Thankfully, combat should be minimal during this section and once inside the Bridge Deck, players should see a single, freestanding terminal. It's to the right of a large poster that reads: "Tomorrow is a Good Idea." and is glowing yellow, so it should be hard to miss.
Interact with the terminal to see a hologram recording of a heated exchange between Dr. Nicole Brennan and Captain Mathius. Once the conversation ends, the mission updates to prompt players to return to Hydroponics, where a new audio log waits inside of the Diagnostic Lab.
After listening to the audio log and learning the origins of Mercer's hunter, players will find a unique upgrade waiting at the nearby Workbench. The Prototype Stasis Module upgrades Isaac's current Stasis Module, allowing him to freeze enemies in place as electrical damage is inflicted over time. It's a powerful upgrade that can make Stasis related fights a little easier in the long run, giving Isaac another way to damage enemies outside of his various tools and weapons like the Plasma Cutter.
The Dead Space Remake's core story is a thrilling and horrifying ride as you assume the role of Isaac Clarke, an engineer attempting to escape the USG Ishimura - which has been overrun by the undead. Though there are plenty of action-packed and Necromorph-killing moments during the main story, there are also some side-quests available. Premeditated Malpractice is one such side quest, which you will be able to take on towards the climax of Chapter 5.
Premeditated Malpractice is a five-part mission, one which you can choose to take on upon acquiring the tissue sample upon defeating the Hunter within the Cryogenics Lab. Once you have completed the first three objectives, you will then be tasked with finding the report on the bridge. Though it may appear as though you will have to hunt for a peculiar item, finding the report is surprisingly simple.

Once you have investigated Ore Storage, head on back to the Elevator To Mining Operations - making use of your Kinesis Module to grab onto the available box and use it to block the lasers within the hallway to it. Once you reach the elevator, take it to Deck A - Preparation.
Upon arriving at the Bridge, head to the door to the right (Crew Deck to Main Atrium) and follow the corridor all the way to the Main Atrium Bridge. This is the area in which the report is located.
To find the report, you will need to search the Main Atrium Bridge - which you will find yourself entering during Chapter 8 during your time fixing the comms array. Once you are at the Main Atrium Bridge, locate the first terminal on the right-hand side of this area.
Interacting with this terminal will trigger a holographic recording of Nicole's confrontation with Captain Mathius, regarding Dr. Mercer's treatment of a patient known as Brant Harris. Once the hologram recording has concluded, the objective of finding the report on the bridge will be complete. You will then be able to move on to the fifth and final objective, which tasks you with investigating Hydroponics.
Looking for a Dead Space remake walkthrough? We're approaching the end of our Dead Space remake walkthrough, as Isaac and pals prepare to leave the Ishimura for good. In Chapter 11: Alternate Solutions, you must load the Marker onto the escape shuttle, while clearing the hangar bay of any lingering enemies.
In this section of our Dead Space remake walkthrough, we'll guide you through Chapter 11: Alternate Solutions, helping you find any Power Nodes, Text and Audio Logs, and Security Clearance doors while completing the main quest.
Chapter 11 picks up just after you free yourself from the grasp of a particularly large Necromorph arm. Dust yourself off and head towards the Bridge Tram Station, where you can take a tram to the Flight Deck Tram Station. When you disembark, head to the Cargo Bay to find the Marker.
Take the lift down to the Cargo Bay proper and immediately turn to the left side of the lift. Move the blocks using Kinesis to reveal a locker, which contains a Peng statue. This is a little joke referring to all of the Peng posters scattered around the Ishimura, and it also sells for a whopping 30,000 credits! Then, head to the far left side of the room and interact with the blue terminal to retrieve the cargo.
The Marker will begin to move around the edge of the room, but will eventually get blocked by an access bridge. Head into the centre of the room and use the terminal to raise the bridge so that the Marker can pass through. Avoid the tentacles that rise around the centre platform, as they will slam down and deal lots of damage.
Continue following the Marker until it is once again blocked. This time, you must find the nearby weak points that will destroy the Necromorph growth that's obstructing the cargo rail. There are three weak points in total, but they're all in the same corner of the room.
With the weak points destroyed, you must head back to the centre of the room and lift the opposite bridge so that the Marker can keep moving. It will then reach the end of the rail and get lifted into the Hangar Bay.
Leave the Cargo Bay and head back to the Flight Lounge. Interact with the door leading to the Security Check-In to start a quarantine lockdown. Clear the room of enemies, and then continue into the Security chamber and turn right to access a new side of the Hangar Bay that you couldn't previously reach. Kyne will fly into the Hangar Bay in the escape shuttle.
Head back into the corridors and turn left, before following the ramp up to reach a gravity control terminal. Enter zero-gravity and float over to the loading room, where the Marker will rise up from the Cargo Bay.
Interact with a terminal to send the Marker into the Hangar Bay, and then fly up to the raised platform nearby. There, you'll find three more terminals. These control the rails that the Marker moves along in the Hangar Bay. You must rotate the rails so that the Marker can keep moving until it reaches the shuttle.
After a shocking twist, head back to the gravity control terminal and continue through the next door, which leads into a control room where you'll find Nicole. Chat with Nicole and then use the terminal nearby to recall the shuttle, pulling it back into the Hangar.
Head back out of the control room and grab the Power Node in a wall container up ahead. Then, proceed into the Hangar Bay and over to the shuttle. This is the point of no return in Dead Space, so now's your chance to go back and complete any lingering optional objectives before the grand finale.
