Whatabout a companion like Shae Vizla? When she joins us she has both armors bearing her name, each worth about 150 million credits or if you prefer 1400 and 2600 CC. Do we need to look for more reasons why these armors are for the exclusive use of these companions?

Shae Vizla is a Companion every Character can earn from the notepad-thing that we get, so you get her gear no matter what? - And her gear isn't even sellable, so what exactly are you trying to prove here?

The equipment used by all companions is for their exclusive use. In order for this equipment to be transferable or equipable to other characters, this restriction would have to be removed. By eliminating it for Mako or Andronikus, you will also eliminate it for expansion companions who come with equipment that you would have to buy for millions on GTN, or in the case of Shae Vizla, thousands of CCs in CM. Who will spend CC on armor knowing that they can have it for 5 seasonal tokens or for free when the expansion starts and they will be able to equip it on their char?

Many of these armors are Cartel Market items (or a combination of pieces from several Cartel Market armors). So, as much as I would like to have companion armor automatically wearable by any of my toons/companions, it's unlikely to happen since it would infringe onto CM sales. I actually bought several of said "companion" armors from CM/GTN specifically so I could use pieces from it on anyone. Unfortunately, not all of the outfits are available (looking at you Empress Acina) or easily identifiable (Zenith, which shirt are you wearing?)

I don't actually get the argument about the CM. Yes, the newer outfits might come from the CM, but none of the old ones the Companions are wearing are from the CM, the ones they wear before KOTFE/KOTET happens.

ALL companion armors pre kotfe/et (the ones they come with and the ones you can acquire through missions later) are usable by anyone. They are bound to your character, but you can equip them either on yourself or any of your companions.

I don't like all the belts/jetpacks/metal doo-dads/spikes/capes/bling that they keep throwing on outfits. I LIKE the simple looks of the original starter and early class outfits and some of the companion outfits. The problem is those are all bound to character. (Also low rez since they're from the original release). The class starter outfits also suffer from not having a dye slot.

Having class starter outfits and the original companion outfits either legacy bound, or purchasable from the cartel market (with a dye slot!) would be fantastic. I want outfits that look like actual clothes and not magnets with random stuff stuck all over them.

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, like most games in long-running video game franchises, crams Hyrule full of little nods and references to the series' illustrious past. For avid fans of the series, it's always a joyous moment when you see Tears of the Kingdom acknowledge older titles like Ocarina of Time or Majora's Mask, and it primarily does this via a selection of outfits you can find across the world, each one designed after a previous version of Link.

A lot of these outfits are pieced together via rewards you obtain from tough trials or tricky puzzles. For example, you can obtain the Majora's Mask after defeating five Lynels back to back in a Colosseum in The Depths. It's good fun for a lot of people, but there are some Zelda fans that are starting to get a little bit sick of being rewarded with the same green cap or tunic over and over again.

One of these players is u/Shielo34, who recently used the game's subreddit to express their constant disappointment that whenever they find a rare treasure chest, their greeted by yet another green tunic. The post has garnered quite a bit of attention too, with over 2.5 upvotes and 200 comments at the time of writing, as equally frustrated Tears of the Kingdom players use the opportunity to voice their displeasure as well.

While there are some that would rather be rewarded with completely brand new outfits, most are irritated by the fact that they don't have any unique buffs, meaning they are basically the same clothes but in a different shade of green. Another user called u/Independent_Plum2166 even suggests that Nintendo could have given them bonuses related to the games they came from, with a buff to Tulin's gust ability for the Wind Waker costume as a great example.

Then there are the Amiibo collectors that are a little irritated that you can find them in the world at all, explaining that they feel like their Amiibos lose their value if you can simply find their extra bonuses by playing the game normally.

Some do point out that you can get a nice chunk of change by selling any duplicate armor you end up finding, and there are those that didn't have Amiibo for Breath of the Wild and are just finding these armor pieces for the first time in Tears of the Kingdom, but it's clear that the patience of some players is waning. Let's hope that the DLC gives Link some more interesting drip.

When the newest witch or wizard begins their journey into Hogwarts Legacy to experience the magic and mystery of the Harry Potter franchise, they will start as a fifth-year student at Hogwarts. Donning the iconic robes of one of the four houses: Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw, or Slytherin, players may wonder how they can further express themselves beyond their house colors.

Updated July 2, 2024, by Joe Grantham:The best thing about outfits in Hogwarts Legacy is that, thanks to the game's fantastic transmog system, players can alter the appearance of each gear slot while still retaining the benefits of equipping the strongest gear. There are six gear/appearance slots in total: Handwear, Headwear, Facewear, Neckwear, Cloaks and Robes, as well as Outfits.

Once any aspect of an outfit has been found or unlocked by players, it will remain as an appearance option even if they sell the gear. This means that, by exploring, looting, and completing certain challenges or quests, players can gradually unlock all Hogwarts Legacy outfits and won't need to part with them. Lastly, although updates for the game are far from regular, they are often accompanied by new cosmetics, such as the Azkaban outfits delivered with the Summer Update of 2024.

In terms of style, the Leather Winter Cloak is certainly one of the best outer garments, and in many ways, it makes the main character look like a fighter pilot from the first half of the 20th century. This jacket is naturally best worn in winter when walking around Hogsmeade or the Scottish Highlands. It goes with so many items of clothing, such as flatcaps and fluffy hats, thick woolen scarves and jumpers, and gloves, too.

Defending the magical world and the Muggles against the horrors of cursed magic and the dark arts requires a fitting uniform. As such, Hogwarts Legacy players may want to roleplay as an officer of magical law with this outfit, which is unlocked by progressing through the Dueling Feats challenge.

If players have ever glanced at Professor Abraham Ronen and thought about how great his robes look, then they are in luck, as his entire outfit is available to all gamers for free. Although the components of this outfit were previously Twitch-exclusive rewards, Portkey Games listened to players who missed out, and now, this entire outfit is waiting in everyone's inventory.

These beautiful purple robes are full of character and are particularly fitting for Slytherin students due to the large snake-like S clasp. The gold trim, purple bow tie, and hat top off this ensemble, making it one of the best looking outfits in Hogwarts Legacy.

One of the best things about being a Hufflepuff in Hogwarts Legacy is that they are able to visit Azkaban in an exclusive mission. However, as a small recompense for all those who missed out, the Summer Update of 2024 thankfully added a new free outfit to help players feel like they just escaped from the infamous wizarding prison.

The Azkaban Prisoner's outfit features the classic blue stripes of prison uniforms, but the material is incredibly faded, as seen in the Harry Potter movies. The coat, meanwhile, is just as torn and ragged as the one worn by Sirius Black after his escape. Paired with the new Photo Mode for Hogwarts Legacy, players can use this outfit to capture some beautifully dark pictures.

Ever since the advent of the Harry Potter movies, the series has always had a rustic, antique aesthetic, especially around places such as The Burrow and Diagon Alley. The Autumn Festival Cloak fits in perfectly with this theme as it is made up of patchwork fabric. To wear it, however, players must first complete 32 Dueling Feats, which is no easy task.

The Tailored Tailcoat is an outfit worn by one of the worst Hogwarts Professors of all time, Headmaster Phineas Nigellus Black. However, if players are able to solve two of the three Hogwarts' Secrets puzzles, then they can strut around the castle and Hogsmeade in this fine tailcoat.

As it all comes in one outfit, no cloak is needed, although players might want to wear a nice pair of black gloves for added effect. A classic Victorian top hat can also go nicely with this outfit, and by using certain Conjurations in the Room of Requirement, players can even recreate the look of number 12 Grimmauld Place, the home of the House of Black.

Hogwarts isn't just a school of witchcraft and wizardry, but as a boarding school, it is also a home for both students and staff. Therefore, throughout the books and films, Harry and his friends often get into trouble while in their pajamas. If players want to fully immerse themselves in Hogwarts Legacy, then they should also put on some pajamas, and arguably the best pair is the Dreamer's Nightwear.
