Upcoming Prediction API Changes

We are writing to give you advance warning that new users will soon be billed for the Prediction API, and to outline how to ensure that your usage remains unbilled. Things you should know:

• Only training and prediction usage without an APIs Console key will be unbilled. We have raised the un-keyed rate limits significantly, so there should not be issues with query volume now, although we always recommend testing. Example billed and unbilled queries are below:

Billed training query URL: https://www.googleapis.com/prediction/v1.1/training?data=mybucket%2Fmyobject&key=MY_API_PROJECT_KEY
• NOTE: this applies to prediction queries as well
From the announcement, you will have two weeks of unbilled usage, after which current versions of the API will be deprecated. This will be later than projected in December, and we will notify you of a specific date once billing begins.
