Hello Predict-ers,

We recently launched version 1.3 of the prediction API to the public!  A big thank you to all our trusted testers who helped us get this out!  (If you’re interested in joining our TT program feel free to reach out to me directly).  With the release of 1.3 we are really focusing on providing more feedback to you, the developer and user of the API to help provide insight into how the API is working.  We also want you to be able to provide the service with feedback to help guide future predictions and obtain even better accuracy.

Major highlights of this release include:
  • API Changes:
    • Input: Utility Functions to help tell the API which categories are most important
    • Output: New Confusion matrix output
  • Improved error messages
  • Lots of changes on the backend to continue to improve overall prediction accuracy
  • Updated v1.3 Client Libraries:
    • (New) Ruby
    • Python
    • Java
    • (Coming soon) .NET
    • (Coming soon) Javascript
    • Note: Clients using v1.1 libraries will be officially deprecated as of August 15th.
  • Detailed server side OAuth examples in documentation and Ruby

Thanks, and Happy Predicting!
-Zach Goldberg, PM for the Prediction API
