I have never built a PC before and to be honest prefer my MacBook or my linux laptop over anything windows (I know I know windows has its perks). I am a senior in college getting a degree in robotics engineering and when it comes to Solidworks or the hopes of playing games, windows seems the path of least resistance. I would like to build a desktop that I can remote into to CAD on the fly and come home to and actually play a game on without having to worry about compatibility. To date, I have been using a Dell latitude 5411 that handles solidworks well enough but can barely run CSGO. I used to run bootcamp on my old MAC but that is no longer an option with my new M2. As far as horsepower I am thinking something in the range of a 4070Ti or better and 32gb of ram. Other than that, I am very lost... I have a 1440p ultra wide monitor (and a decent hoard of peripherals) that I would likely game on so I am shooting for something like 1440p high - ultra settings on games like Jedi: Survivor or generic FPS games (don't have any preferences yet because I literally can't play them) and the ability to run a decently complex design study or open a large assembly without hating life. Any advice for a newbie who wants to put in the work and get it right the first time? Thanks!
