I just want to underscore something here to the Alleghany Republican GOP:
You are your own worst enemy.
To complain and flounder, without any understanding and knowledge of what you are dealing with is foolish. I have never had anyone from the Alleghany County GOP reach out to me; the only exception has been Greg Walker. I have had a number of letters to the editor in the Alleghany News over the last six years. Again, no one from the Alleghany County GOP ever responded. It is apparent, that these people do not know how to effectively communicate. Instead, ineptness and willful ignorance.
There is something very strange about this place, Sparta, NC: It appears most people here-regardless of political affiliation-are content in their willful ignorance and moral cowardice. Here, it is more important to be liked than to speak the truth. You don't want to offend anybody with facts; just "go along to get along." And that mentality will get you killed and cause you to lose your freedom; (as is the case with much of Western Europe now.) It appears that critical thinking has become nonexistent here. When it comes to important issues, events, or subjects, there is not the slightest iota of curiosity. Not only do I not see any substantive discussion, but there is no discussion period! This place reminds me of a combination of "The Handmaid's Tale;" "The Stepford Wives;" and "The Land of Nod" all wrapped up into one. People here respond as if they have either been lobotomized or they are in a cult.
The Alleghany County GOP need to understand the fact that these people that are having another "No Kings" rally October 18th, are not rational, critical-thinking people. I would encourage GOP members to go back and re-read my July 16, 2025 letter in the "Alleghany News." UNDERSTAND WHAT YOU ARE DEALING WITH.
As a postscript to my July 16, 2025, letter in the "Alleghany News": In response to Barbara Halsey, Jennifer Swenk, and the "No Kings" devotees: their dissembling and lying statements do not negate reality. And the reality is: If you are non-partisan, then, logically, you would not have had a problem with a t-shirt. And Greg Walker was the victim here, not you. More importantly, obsession over a t-shirt, to the exclusion of the reality that the Democrat Party, has become a anti-Semitic and totalitarian movement is what is truly “appalling;” not a t-shirt as Barbara Halsey, et.al., have claimed. In her response to my letter in the newspaper, Halsey just ignored the facts that I raised in my July letter in the newspaper; that the Democrat Party has become anti-Semitic and totalitarian, and repeated the same nonsense that she said at the County Commissioner's meeting last July.
Halsey claims that she is not partisan or political because she was not physically present at the demonstration, but she was the co-organizer, along with Swenk , of the event. So, you are still very much partisan, and political. And I would add: they are anti-Semitic bigots, and willfully ignorant moral cowards
And, yet, all that matters to Halsey, Swenk & Co., is the mere wearing of a t-shirt at a public demonstration. Think about that. A t-shirt for God's sake. Never mind that Greg was not violent; nor did he intrude upon or interfere with the "No Kings" demonstration. He also was peacefully exercising his Constitutional First Amendment rights; just the same as the "No Kings" demonstrators. Also, the mere wearing of a t-shirt with a ICE logo on it does not, in any way, constitute the impersonation of an ICE agent. The unspoken problem here is that within the Leftist/Marxist ideology, if anyone disagrees with or departs in any way from their sacrosanct propaganda narrative, then they deserve to be silenced and punished. This is totalitarianism; which is antithetical to everything this country is about, and a subject these people know nothing about. In response to my July letter, Barbara Halsey claims "facts do matter." Yet, she ignores the facts that I raised in my letter: that the "No Kings" rally is an extension of the "Trump is Hitler" narrative, etc. And, no, this is not "hate speech" or "spreading hate." This is objective reality, and the hard truth.
It has been, and still is, the Democrat's increasingly violent rhetoric that led to the assassination of Charlie Kirk. You can’t call your opponents existential threats to our freedoms and “our democracy,” liken them to Hitler, and tell your followers that they have to fight them in the streets, and not expect some of the lemmings who believe the Left’s lies to take you seriously.
But Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D) thinks that’s all nonsense. She rejected the idea that far-Left rhetoric led to conservative activist Charlie Kirk’s killing, defending her right to refer to President Donald Trump as ‘wannabe Hitler.’”
Because one core element of being a Leftist is never being responsible for anything. Everything is someone else’s fault. This is not just a political or rhetorical tactic; it’s the Left’s guiding philosophy of life.
For the Democrats, they are morally and intellectually superior; while they are also the eternal victim. And they are certainly not culpable in any way for having the courage to call out all the little Hitlers who insist that men cannot become women, and that nations should have sovereign borders, and that ordinary citizens should expect that law enforcement officials should protect them from becoming victims of violent crime.
Rep. Crockett and the Democrats argue that it is actually Trump and MAGA Republicans who has fostered a culture of political violence. After years of lock-step rhetoric calling for political violence, now we see Democrats posturing to denounce political violence. This denunciation is hollow and bereft of honesty.
Tyler Robinson, was radicalized by the rhetoric of the Left. These things generally track in an absolute fashion: if a guy buys into the trans madness, and especially buys into it to the point of murdering one of the critics of normalizing delusion and mental illness, then you can be certain he voted for Kamala Harris.
Leftists don’t really want to talk about it at all. They just want to lay the blame at Trump’s feet. Their claim that "both sides have violent rhetoric" is pure delusion. It is a lie. It is not the Republicans, who, for the last ten-plus years, have been calling them Nazis, racists, bigots, white supremacists, and "a threat to democracy." It is the Democrats. All of the actual violence for the last ten years, has come from the Democrats. This includes those Leftists, progressives, Marxists, who claim that they are not a “Democrat.” Yet, the Democrat Party is the larger corporate entity with whom they all affiliate.
The unspoken problem here is that for the Left, if anyone disagrees with or departs in any way from their sacrosanct propaganda narrative, then they deserve to be silenced and punished. This is totalitarianism; which is antithetical to everything this country is about, and a subject these people know nothing about. And, yet, this is what the Democrats have embraced; while having no earthly idea of the horrors they are courting. No, this is not "hate speech" or "spreading hate." This is objective reality, and the hard truth.
Wokeism is both contrary to human nature and antithetical to democracy and constitutional government. Just as in a religious cult, many of the Woke Left's devotees are completely oblivious to this very fact.
Without public support, it has instead embraced an entire array of cruel, Soviet, and Maoist means to achieve its own self-interested ends. Woke talk about “racists” eerily emulates Soviet boilerplate about “counterrevolutionaries,” and "fascists." Today’s Democrats spout things that could come right out of the mouth of Stalin's 1930's show trial prosecutor, Andrey Vyshinsky, or Mao’s "Little Red Book."
Wokeism’s logic is the eternal one of the bully Jacobin with his guillotine lists of the revolutionary unpure, the 19th-century lynch mob storming the frontier jail, the Maoist Red Guards hounding the counterrevolutionary, and the forced mental hospitalizations of the Soviet Union.
But above all, wokeism is a sadistic, totalitarian cult—created by and for the careerist benefit of the privileged.
My recommendation is to have a "Turning Point USA" peaceful demonstration in honor of Charlie Kirk, and everything he stood for.
My initial draft letter to the "Alleghany News" - July 16, 2025.
At the July 7, 2025 Alleghany County Commissioner's meeting; Carolyn Pruit, Trish Gardner, and Barbara Halsey publicly spoke out against County Commissioner Greg Walker in an attempt to vilify him, and portray him as an enemy of democracy. All three claimed that they were nonpartisan, and are not political. Yet, all three were part of the "No Kings" rally; which was very political, and very partisan.
These women say that they are "appalled" by Greg Walker who was standing peacefully off to the side wearing a t-shirt with an ICE logo on it. But they are not, at all, "appalled" that their Democrat Party has become a very dangerous anti-Semitic, totalitarian movement. Was Greg violent? No. Was he disruptive of the demonstration? No. Merely being present and wearing an ICE t-shirt provoked the pretense of moral superiority and mask of faux victim-hood; which has become all too common on the Left. And all because Mr. Walker was exercising his Constitutional First Amendment rights.
"No Kings" is a continuation of the propaganda narrative "Trump is Hitler."
It may be impossible to overstate the damage done to morality by the Democrats and other Leftists calling Donald Trump a fascist and a Nazi and declaring him "Hitler." This dangerous lie has been continually repeated by the Biden-Harris administration, their Legacy Media propagandists, to academia; and has led to two assassination attempts on President Trump.
The abuse of language is a fundamental characteristic of the Left. Leftists have done this not only to "Hitler," "Nazi" and "fascist" but to "genocide," "apartheid," "racist" and virtually every other term connoting evil. It started with Stalin calling Trotsky a fascist and it continues to this day; as Democrat officials continue to look for ways to compare immigration enforcement to the Holocaust, detention facilities to concentration camps, and ICE personnel to the Nazis.
The harm cannot be overstated.
Calling Trump "Hitler" and "Nazi" utterly trivializes Hitler and Nazism. Young people, the recipients of a largely worthless education in American schools – especially regarding history – know little, if anything, about Hitler and Nazism; much less totalitarianism. For most of them, therefore, if Trump is Hitler, then Hitler was Trump. Hitler was nothing worse than a German version of Trump – not the instigator of World War II and the creator of the Holocaust; just a German Donald Trump.
What transpired in the Reichstag during Weimar Germany is nothing like what Trump has done. There is not even any mechanism for doing such a thing in the American governmental system, while the Weimar constitution always contained this poison pill that ultimately led to its destruction. Taking advantage of his new powers, Hitler quickly outlawed all political parties except his own, so that Germany was a one-party state by the time of the sham Reichstag elections of Nov. 1933.
Has Trump done anything like that? No. Everything Trump has done is perfectly constitutional and legal. Not so with the Democrats, who staged a false flag attack in order to justify taking steps toward the criminalization of legitimate political opposition; as the Democrats have done for four years over your phony Jan. 6 “insurrection.” If you want some Hitler parallels in the present day, study the “Reichstag Fire” and compare it carefully to Jan. 6. You might find the comparison enlightening.
There is nothing Donald Trump has done that is anti-Semitic, unlike the Democratic Party, who have sent billions of dollars to Iran; supporting Iran's nuclear program, and funding their terrorist proxies. Withholding weapons and munitions to Israel during a war, attempting to build a pier in Gaza to permit weapons to be smuggled in, supporting anti-Semitic riots on US college campuses and permitting Democratic Party officials to be openly anti-Semitic.
And there is nothing that Donald Trump has done that is totalitarian, unlike the Democratic Party who have colluded with internet companies to censor speech, who weaponized the DOJ and the FBI into a modern version of the Communist East German STASI to harass and intimidate political opponents and citizens who disagreed with their agenda, who have turned the media and educational institutions into instruments of propaganda and supporting political violence, like the riots of 2020 and the anti-Semitic riots on college campuses.
Donald Trump, is nothing like Hitler and nothing like the Democrats; moving the US embassy to Jerusalem, recognizing Israeli sovereignty over the Golan and issuing an executive order extending Title VI to combating anti-Semitism.
Now we have the Democrats, with their Marxist-Islamist "democracy coalition," who have intentionally created a climate where Jew-hate, Israel-hate and violence against Jews has become normalized, rationalized, and whitewashed as allegedly righteous and laudable “Resistance,” while the actual genocidal Islamic terrorism is similarly rationalized, dismissed and whitewashed under the banner of alleged “social justice.” This is the latest generation of “useful idiots” produced by the Soviet KGB's "Operation SIG."
