good morning,
I'm trying to install some very compressed game packages using different PCs (for example: Ace Combat 7 Skies Unknown v1.0.1 (Monkey Repack) [FitGirl Repack] and RESIDENT EVIL 2 Deluxe Edition + 9 DLCs [FitGirl Repack]).
If I use the sandboxie, a very common error appears regarding two isdone.dll and unarc.dll libraries that promptly disappears by installing the package outside the sandbox.
thank you

which has been an abysmal experience. I got it working, but not correctly. Now I'm trying to do it right. And something that SHOULD just work, in the context of doing this work is failing to produce expected results. I've already spent too much time trying to guess what the ---- is going on.

upon completion of my drop, the source object is asked to provide a "propertyList." I used to encode my entire object and then in the init(withPasteboard) method I would copy the values from the instantiated resulting object to self. Which is a stupid and horrible way of doing the work, But at the time: after 2 weeks of literally trying random things with the pasteboard (lack of examples and documentation) was the only thing that worked.

Now, I am encoding the properties of the object, which includes 2 arrays of custom objects (which are both NSCoding compliant, and have been observed correctly encoding and decoding thousands of times.)

But I set it. With classes that easily archive elsewhere. I have followed the debugger, and the encode method is called on the contents of the channels array. As far as can be told, the objects are encoded.

so this is not a problem with my code. It may be a misunderstanding of how NSPasteboardReadable/Writable works... or of what is required to use NSkeyedArchiver. It may be a failure to provide my own Data object for the unarchiver to write to... But ---- that. There's no property or method to call in order to do that. It's like someone neutered the NSKeyedArchiver class, and took more than they should have.

documentation for NSKeyedArchiver dates back to Obj-c, and excludes some major changes that have occurred since then. The resulting document indicates that what I am trying to do "should" work. But I cannot be certain, because it's probably 15 years old, and I know there are ommisions and additions since the writing of that document.

I know we don't generally work directly with NSKeyed(Un)Archiver as a rule. Tell that to the people who wrote the NSPasteboard/DragNDrop nightmare. I don't have a choice here. And it just isn't doing the simplest of things, and there is no other resource on the entire internet that can address this issue other than THIS forum. (do a google search. every post is about encoding root objects, which is the incorrect way to do this) I'm at a complete loss here.

However, if you have third-party security software running on your computer, you may encounter situations in which it is detected as a potential threat and removed from your computer without any notification.

UnArc.dll is located in the directory with the executable that uses it. This means that most of the time it will be found in either Windows>\System32 or Windows>\SysWOW64 depending on whether the file is 32-bit or 64-bit.

In some cases, however, malware may install itself in the system directory and replace unarc.dll with a malicious file of the same name. In this case, you should remove it from the system directory immediately.

MiniTool OEM program enable partners like hardware / software vendors and relative technical service providers to embed MiniTool software with their own products to add value to their products or services and expand their market.

To fix the unacr.dll error, you can try to perform a clean boot. To perform a clean boot can help you to identify which startup items or third-party applications give rise to the error the unarc.dll returned an error code.

After that, reboot your computer and check whether the issue of the unarc.dll returned an error code is solved. If it is, you can reboot your computer in a normal state, then disable the startup item one by one and find out which item leads to the unarc.dll error.

To sum up, this post has introduced what the unarc.dll is and how to fix the unarc.dll returned an error code problem. If you have any better solution to fix this unarc.dll error, please share it in the comment zone.

So I've been having an error with my pc, isdone.dll and unarc.dll error. I say "an" because it is all just one message. At first i thought it'll just happen when i installed games, they'll fail and give the error message mentioned above. I've done everything on YouTube, from allocating ram, re-downloading the missing files, deleting temp files. You name it, i probably did it. But the error persist. I wouldn't mind too much if it only affects games, but even programs for coding, they'll fail as well. I'd really appreciate any resolution please help me

Don't know what you bought?
The main one, size of the hard disk or ssd, or both!
available space !
Amount of memory installed
You have the different possible configurations in the given link

Okay, this issue started when it was still windows 10, hence i thought the update might repair this issue. My ssd is 255gb and my external hdd is 1tb. I previously had 8gb ram but then installed an additional 4gb but says total is 10gb ram instead of 12gb which is fine, the drivers must be using up the other 2gb... Long story short, it's an AMD Ryzen 5 3500U with radeon vega mobile gfx. But in terms of configurations, I'm not sure what that entails, maybe we using different jargon for the same thing and we are lost in translation.

I have 1tb of free space in my external hard drive, and i have 110 gb free space in the internal ssd. Usually it would be programs or games over 20gb that produce this error. In fact, just last night i tried unreal engine, unity and nfs heat and all 3 gave the same error, but 2 nights back i successfully installed web expression, and euro trucks. I test both programs and games because I'm trying to narrow down the issue, like the space or system requirements that do not produce this error and as far as i can tell, it's just the space, not ram or vram or processors that cause this, just the fact that installing anything over 20gb would cause this error

110 gb of free this can be a cause, although it seems to me enough for most of the time
so try to free up as much space as possible
move personal files, delete unused programs etc!
Are the games from known platforms?
I ask because I have read several times that this happens with games from certain sites!

Previously i installed AC 4 black flag and it worked, along with nba 2k16. But then i started having this isdone.dll error and both of those stopped working so i had to reinstall them, that's when i found out about this error. So i know it's not the space, cause I've even tried installing on my external drive but still the same issues. But i just tried to re-register that isdone.dll in command prompt and I'll type verbatim what it's showing me now...

To my knowledge, when i search for the isdone.dll i can find it on appdata on my C drive... But now it's saying it's not registered. I don't want to sound like i know what I'm doing, cause honestly i wouldn't even know about this had i not be speaking to you, and although the issue is not fixed, it's a relief that you take your time to help me out, but this does mean that space is not the issue

Unarc.dll returned error code-6, then something about social club pops up, and rockstar installer turns itself down. I have tried reseating my ram, chkdsk, anti malware, run it as administrator, move rockstar installer, change the installation directory but nothing helps. I have read that it might be due to hdd bad sectors? With far cry 4, I insert the CD disc, launch setup, and about 2% I get unarc.dll error code-7.

You've got a corrupt library on your PC, in this case the unarc dll. It's used by the installer to uncompress and install the game files. It might not actually be corrupt, just a newer version than the installer expects.

I'd try locating the file on the PC, renaming it to unarc.dll.old, reboot the PC and then try and install the game. My guess is that the game will install the library again from the install CD as part of the installation.

The unarc.dll File is a DLL (Dynamic Link Library) System File provided by Microsoft for Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows 10, and earlier Versions. These .dll Files contain various instructions that different pieces of software may need in order to run properly. If a .dll file, like the unarc.dll file, is missing, it may result in a variety of different error messages.

The unarc.dll missing error seems to be the only one that is bothering you, the quickest solution would be to download a new copy of the unarc.dll file and install it in the required directories. For the Download and more instructions, make sure to check out the installation instructions and download links below.

On rare occasions, the program is not recognizing the unarc.dll, even though it is installed correctly. In these cases, the installation of the Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable Package could help. If you are still getting the Missing Error, try installing it here.
