So I know how to load PDFs from a database using the WebDev module. However I need to try and see if there is a way to load a PDF from a database without the WebDev module. Any ideas how to get it done? The PDFs are sitting in a database as a blob format.

For stakeholders who only need file-viewing access, we offer free viewers without a subscription. If you're transitioning to named user, be sure to take advantage of the trade-in offers available to you.

I recently (13 May 2022) updated Windows 10 with the latest updates and immediately after that I've started experiencing problems with the alert viewer. The viewer appears but as a white block without any content in it, I can move the block and dismiss it but I can't click on anything in it. if I leave the block on the screen it hangs and shows that the application is not responding. I have replicated this behavior twice now and I can't figure out how else to manage the alert messages to allow or deny apps from connecting to the internet.

I've set my firewall to let me decide whenever an application needs to connect to the internet and with the alert viewer hanging I can't perform this task. Is there any other place I can manage this task without changing my setting in the firewall.

In addition then the Mcafee "Chromium Container Delegate" task/service takes up all the system resources CPU, Memory and Disk for a while +/- 1 hour then it releases it but the alert viewer still does not work.

Exact same problem after latest windows 10 update. Same blank white text box at first, after a bit with the same text in the white box. I tried resetting the Alert settings to see if saving the changes would revert the alert viewer back to normal operation, but it does not, nor does restarting Windows ... So yes, please fix this ASAP.

I have used the Aggregation - clustering in the map viewer, which displays the amount of events with labels. However, the labels do not show in the web application. I have tried saving the layer, but it only saves as a feature layer and does not give me the option to publish it as a hosted feature layer. Can anyone help please?

It looks like attachment viewer does not have an experience in the viewer to expose the clustered features and show the attachments. I would recommend getting attached to this support ticket BUG-000143637

Ah ok, that's a real shame! I created the clustering from Web viewer but the app is made with Web AppBuilder (tab theme), as it's are easier and quicker to build an application with the widgets i need. Thanks for the help

I solved the issue of being able to open a *.glb file on a local drive. Placing Babylon.viewer.js and part.glb within the same folder and referencing directly as shown below in the snippet (i.e. with no folder path specification) it works.

The viewer is useful but I get many clients who would like to take a measurement whilst viewing.
Perhaps this could be added to the next version?
Anyone else out there that feels it would be useful?

Hi,after update the new version of sketchup viewer for ios 16 i found out there is no measure tool anymore. and can you add more interact on click that can open or close the door( ex for door and window) so the vewers can simulate the opening too?

However, if you want to trigger exports during the checkout process, you should use the backend REST API which is not linked to the viewer. You might have missed the link in the blog post posted by Pavol, there is a specific documentation on postman where you can see examples with sample data and test extensively: ShapeDiver model view API - exports

Hi: I used to be able to view pdf files in Chrome's native pdf viewer. Suddenly, I am no longer able to view files through Chrome's viewer, but only through what looks to be some new dropbox proprietary viewer. I'd like to be able to go back to the Chrome viewer, as the dropbox viewer has cut pdf functionality significantly.

I finally found a solution that might not be ideal for everyone, but actually solves the problems listed above . . . I've been having issues using the Dropbox viewer to view my pdfs, have not been able to view any larger pdfs, and one other poster mentioned that he was having some difficulty sharing his pdfs with others.

I've been asking for a fix that would allow us to completely bypass the Dropbox viewer so that we can view our pdfs in Chrome's native viewer. Some of the techs were lovely and brilliant enough to come up with the fix that involves "printing" the pdf (and then canceling out of the print dialog box), which allows you to then see the pdf in Chrome viewer. Unfortunately, though, this did not solve the issue of not being able to open larger pdfs - if the pdf couldn't be open in Dropbox viewer, then trying to "print" the pdf does not work, and you also will not be able to view the pdf in Chrome.

The one solution that I have been using that satisfies all the above issues is to abandon Dropbox and use Google Drive to store and share my pdfs. I've been able to open and view ALL pdfs in Google Drive (even 6,000 page legal tomes!!!) without any issue, and GD also allows us to connect all sorts of third party apps so that we can view our pdfs in the third-party viewer of our choosing. I've also had a much easier time sharing these pdfs with my colleagues on GD . . . Dropbox sharing was easy so long as the receiving party also had a Dropbox account.

This has really been a god-send as I work with people all over the country, and these people often access these work documents via Mac OS, Windows, iOS, and Android platforms . . . Google Drive has allowed us the straight-forward ability to download items directly onto the desktop/Google Drive app without having to hunt for the proper methodology for doing so.

I am customer for years, could you guys please just give us the ability to open pdf with the native chrome viewer? Dropbox PDF viewer is much worst and limited, while you guys don't have a PDF viewer as good as chrome, for example, dont obligate your paying customers to use this. It is like we are paying Dropbox to make the service worst everyday, dont "fix" what wasn't broken to begin with.

Since it was a little confusing, I'll re-describe the original problem . . . Prior to March 15, 2017, I was able to open pdf files in chrome's pdf viewer, as well as open documents by pressing Ctrl+[file]. (This was when I accessed my dropbox account through the chrome browser). Suddenly, I lost that functionality, was only able to open files one by one, and only in dropbox's proprietary viewer. This limited functionality of my dropbox account, since I could no longer open several files at once (without great effort). Additionally, the dropbox viewer DOES NOT open pdf files larger than 50mb (I've been able to open pdf files up to 200 mb in chrome's viewer without issue). Now, somehow, my dropbox functionality has fully returned.

How can I get it to force open on Google without Dropbox view when they are accessing it remotly through a public link? ? Can you ask you dropbox tech guy that helped you for me please??? I cannot seem to get anybody to help me when I send in a support ticket.

The pdf viewer provided by Dropbox is NOT a welcome replacement, it is not as fast and efficient as the Chrome native viewer, and it is difficult to share with others. Please fix or find a way to allow users to switch back and forth between dropbox viewer and the native viewer!

When I go to download to look at my models that I have created in SketchUp the viewer on my Android phone by the time it almost loads it crashes. Deleted it and reloaded it without any avail. Thanks John

Actually, this is the default behavior. But on paid teams you can disable exporting and other similar actions to viewers via this setting: -us/articles/360040045574-Restrict-who-can-copy-and-share-files

Download a PDF file, then when it is done, left click on the download icon at the bottom and select "always open this type of file" Now It should open any PDF link you click in that window without downloading it to a permanent location.

Open Chrome and type "chrome://plugins" without the quotes in the omnibox/url/search bar. Click Enable under the Chrome PDF Viewer. If you need to, restart chrome for it to take effect. Should be good to go.

No need to download anything. It's a quick fix. 1. Open Chrome browser2.type in the following where you would normally type in a web address
chrome://plugins3. enable chrome pdf viewer by clicking on Enable

Hello there,
Short version: As the title says, I would like to take a snapshot (or save the image) of a rotated volume without losing pixels, since right now the resolution depends on the scale (zoom) I use. The more I zoom in, the better the resolution.

The Question: Is there a way for me to save the rotated images without losing any resolution?
I guess now that the snapshot has a predefined resolution and it adapts the images to it. I wish I knew

Don't use web/viewer.html for production. Since you already run gulp generic -- use viewer in build/generic/web/viewer.html and it does not have dependencies in node_modules. ... or you can just download this part from _started/#download

I want to take some of MSDN help files offline on a windows machine which does not have visual studio installed on it. the problem is that I cannot find a way to get and install Help Library manager and Help viewer without installing the visual studio or sql server. How can I install them without installing the visual studio or sql server?

The Viewer cannot be used to copy data created with the Evaluation (Demo) version, nor will it copy data from Origin projects created with versions previous to Origin 8.1.

  • Q: When I try to view some of the graph windows in my Origin project, I see the following message: "Image support missing. Visit for more information." What is this about?

A: To view matrix images or image plots with the Windows Viewer, go to the Origin Viewer download page and download the correct ImagePack zip file for your Windows OS. Unzip the contents to the folder where you are running your Origin Viewer. Close and re-launch the Viewer, then open your Origin project file. You should now be able to view matrix images and image plots.
  • Q: If I wanted to send an Origin project to a colleague who does not have Origin, what is the best way to include the Viewer?

A: The downloaded Viewer and any needed support files can be sent along with your Origin project, to your colleague. Your colleague can then copy the Viewer and files to his or her hard drive and run the application without an installation process. Of course, you can always direct your colleague to the Origin Viewer download page. Your colleague can then download and install the Viewer on his/her own.
  • Q: Can I install the Viewer on a shared machine and let everyone in my group run it?

A: Yes. The Viewer can run without installation. Simply share the installation folder to share the Viewer with your group.
  • Q: Can I copy the Viewer to a USB stick together with my Origin project files and show them to people even though they haven't installed the Viewer on their machines?

A: Yes, in most cases. This is similar to running the Viewer from a remote drive. More details, including some limitations, are available in the ReadMe.TXT included with the Viewer application.

  • Q: Does the Origin Viewer support the latest Origin graph types, including the OpenGL 3D graphs?

A: The Origin Viewer supports viewing any Origin graph created with OpenGL. It does NOT support some of the "infographic" plot types introduced in recent versions of Origin (e.g. Sunburst, Pie Map, Doughnut, etc).
  • Q: Does the Origin Viewer 9.9.5 have Windows 64-bit support?

A: The Origin Viewer 9.9.5 is available for the 64-bit Windows OS (32-bit Windows is no longer supported).
  • Q: When I run the Origin Viewer EXE (Windows OS), I get an error "mfc140.dll not found".

A: MFC140.dll is an MFCDLL Shared Library developed by Microsoft Corporation. If you get this error, please download and install the MS redistributable EXE file for your OS:
    • For 64-bit Windows, download vcredist_x64-2015-2019.exe.
  • Q: Can I write my own code to create Origin project files and open them using the free Viewer?

A: Yes, you can use the free Orglab component from OriginLab to create your own project files, using C#, VB, etc.
  • Q: Can I pose questions about the Viewer on the OriginLab forum?

A: Yes, in fact there is a forum specifically for users of the Viewer and Orglab applications.
Developer Notes (Windows Platform)The Origin Viewer is distributed only as an EXE file and is not made available for customization. OriginLab does provide a download of interest to software developers and instrument manufacturers. The Orglab component (pronounced "org" like the web domain), is a free application, available to those involved in custom application development. Orglab is available for 64-bit Windows, only.
