I recently got myself my own Nintendo switch and I always wanted to play monster hunter stories 2 (played a crack stories 1 before, never finished it coz I lost it lol). But I wanted to know is there any dlc that includes new monsties and quest or storyline. I know that there are the deluxe edition that comes with some armour and clothing for npc which to me isn't really important, but if there are dlc monsties or weapons and the like, what does the set called and are they free or needed to be bought seperately?
I know most people have probably moved on from stories but I still play occasionally and I know I can't be the only one. The reason I still play is because of the pvp arena. I thought it would be fun to start a thread of people sharing QR codes of their pvp monstie teams. [Here is mine.] ( ) If you scan it you can challenge my team in the arena. Hey there reddit, I'd like to share something me and my friends gathered in monster hunter stories 2, this data is by no means complete, but for things such as element weakness and egg coding, I'm fairly sure it's already completed.
One selection that I have seen proposed repeatedly across multiple channels is the Fated Four; Glavenus, Mizutsune, Gammoth, and Astalos. There are, of course, benefits to this selection, such as their popularity, versatility, and the fact that they are already a group. However, the sheer differences between these monsters is enough that you'd almost have to write four separate stories for each in order to properly account for every distinct thing they can do along with whatever distinguishing, story-driven gimmick you give them. While there is much to gain here, a lot of effort would have to go into it to make it work, which then makes it a question of whether or not that effort is truly worth it.
