Mayor Brandon M. Scott in partnership with the Bea Gaddy Family Centers, Baltimore City Recreation and Parks (BCRP), Baltimore City Department of Transportation (DOT), and the Mayor's Office of Children and Family Success (MOCFS) released the schedule for city-provided transportation both to and from the 2023 Annual Bea Gaddy Thanksgiving Dinner.
The City Council is the legislative authority of the city. It has the power to adopt all ordinances, resolutions, or other legislation conducive to the welfare of the people of the city. The Council is made up of nine members, elected on staggered terms, with four or five districted Councilors elected every two years.
The mayor and city council meet weekly to hear departmental matters in the regular course of business, matters for council discussion, matters for council information and to hold executive sessions as necessary.
Our council-manager form of government combines the civic leadership of elected officials with the managerial experience of an appointed city manager. Beyond all else, we are a service organization, and we are here to serve our community.
There is no more festive time of the year to experience the City of Orlando than the holiday season. Throughout November and December, the city is offering family-friendly holiday events and activities for residents and visitors of all ages to enjoy.
