Hello,

I love this tool and find it really useful, but it seems to be unable
to return search results based on a document's content. If I search
for a term in a file name, the correct set of results are returned,
but if I search for a word in a document, no results are returned.

Has anyone else noticed this?

FYI, I'm running OS X 10.7.1 and have configured Precipitate with a
Google Apps account. I haven't used the tool on 10.6, so can't confirm
whether this problem is solely related to OS X Lion.

Many thanks,

Matt

I just took a quick look at this on a 10.7 machine; apparently Lion
requires that Spotlight importers be 64-bit.

Once I have time to investigate thoroughly I'll post a new version
that's Lion-compatible, probably in the next couple of weeks. Thanks
for letting me know!

I am having the same issues as the OP running 10.8.4.  Any word when support for the content of google docs will become searchable?

Thanks so much for your time spent building/supporting this, you are awesome!

1.0.7 should have resolved the issue with documents not being searchable.

It may be that there's something else going on now (both the API and the login system used by Precipitate are a generation old at this point, so perhaps something has stopped working in that part of the system). If you file a bug I can follow up with some debugging questions.

Thanks for your reply!  I submitted a post to the "Issues" tab of the app website (http://code.google.com/p/precipitate/issues/detail?id=49). Let me know if there is anything else I can do to help fix it!
