I have logged into my Minecraft about 2 days ago without any issues, but today I wanted to log in again to play with my friends and I had a problem. The password and the email are correct, but it says that it is not.

I have tried changing my password through the mojang account but no emails came to my email adress, so does that mean that my account does not exist somehow? I just don't get it, someone please help because I really need my Minecraft for my Youtube channel and I really do not want to spend another 18 for another account, my parents just won't let me as I have this account already, someone help please.

I bought Minecraft quite some time ago and have what is now called a Legacy Minecraft Account, meaning I always logged in with an user name instead of an e-mail-adress. This username/password combination has never been changed over the years.

The last time I logged into the game was in 2019 or early 2020 I believe. Today I wanted to play the game again, but upon entering my login information the Minecraft launcher wanted an e-mail-adress, and my Life In The Woods Renaissance-Launcher gave me an "InvalidCredentialsException: Invald credentials. Invalid username or password." message.

So next I tried to login to my Mojang account on the Mojang homepage. Here I was told something along the lines of "If you log in with an username (instead of an e-mail) you are using an outdated account. Visit the following site to reset your password."

"To reset the password for an older Minecraft account (you log in with your username), you will need to go to account.mojang.com/migrate and follow these steps:

1. Go to account.mojang.com/migrate
2. Press the "Forgot your password?" link"

If you like to play adventure games, Minecraft is one of the most popular adventure games. Minecraft is a game that uses 3D concepts, and in this game, the player can build anything from the various blocks that they need.

But do not worry. If you do not have a premium membership, you may play Minecraft for free during the trial period or visit the website code.org to learn how to code and play the game without downloading it.

An account is a set of data that contains a username, email, password, etc. For those of you who want to play Minecraft, it is mandatory to have a Minecraft account, because that gives you access to the game and connects you to the Minecraft server to enjoy the game.

One of the reasons Microsoft felt the need to buy Minecraft was partly because this deal would pave the way for the software giant to further its ambitions in the mobile segment. That is why when we wanted to log in to Minecraft, we used our Microsoft account.

The users choose to play Minecraft on PC if they wish to play and explore the gaming universe instead of choosing alternatives like the iPad, tablet, and many more because PC gaming offers the most flexibility.

According to the Minecraft Wiki page for the Launcher,it should be possible to run the Minecraft launcher using username and password prefixes from the command line and go directly to the game instead of through the launcher.

To run Minecraft with Forge (change C:\Users\nov11\AppData\Roaming/.minecraft/to your MineCraft path :) [Just for people who are a bit too lazy to search on Google...]Special thanks to ammarx for his TagAPI_3 (Github) which was used to create this command.Arguments are separated line by line to make it easier to find useful ones.

As of 4/29/2017 the Minecraft launcher for Windows extracts all native files and places them info %APPDATA%\Local\Temprandom folder. That folder is temporary and is deleted once the javaw.exe process finishes (when Minecraft is closed). The location of that temporary folder must be provided in the launch arguments as the value of

Also, the latest launcher (2.0.847) does not show you the launch arguments so if you need to check them yourself you can do so under the Task Manager (simply enable the Command Line tab and expand it) or by using the WMIC utility as explained here.

If you want to make a custom launcher using the command line then good luck, the only way to login to the minecraft jar(IE: the way the launcher does it) is to send a post request to with the username, password, launcher version, and a RSA key. It then parses the pseudo Json, and uses the session token from that to authenticate the jar from the command line with a load of arguments.

How do you run minecraft with your username and password. I tried going into the run arguments and adding the username and password flags(with my username/password) but I get and error saying could not create java virtual machine. Any help?

My guess is that you added them as VM arguments not program arguments. VM arguments will be passed to the JVM when it starts and if the JVM receives an argument that is invalid, it won't create the instance of the JVM and will give you message somewhere along the lines of what you got. The program arguments are the arguments passed to the program, in this case, Minecraft, you want --username and --password to be program arguments so they get passed to MC and used to login to your account.

I need help logging into Jira to report bugs for Minecraft and I cant find support anywhere please help and it wont send me any of my links or anything i just what my account back and to log into it please someone send me a link or something i can go off of because support for both microsoft and atlassian did jack and sent me back to one another

Are you stuck on creating an account? Or logging in? Have you tried the Can't access your account? link if the problem is that your password is rejected? Could you tell us the symptoms of "can not log in"?

It just wont send anything to my email or anything like I can log into this account just fine but the Jira it wont let me do anything nor create a new account and I talked to Mojang and they said they couldn't do anything and sent me to you guys and you guys did the same thing I just want to have a link or something I can have to get into direct contact with Jira because for some dumb reason there's nothing anywhere

the symptoms for not being able to log in is that the site isn't sending me any links and when they did they said my account was already created which yes i already knew that because i made it years ago and no longer remember the password and it wont send me said link to create a new password and no its not sending it to an other email because i never had any others and i know its the email i have because it says its used

and when i do use the thing to change my password it never sends the link and i know its not in my spam folder either because i checked and its not anywhere else so i went to contact jira and well it has no place to contact them but here so i asked for help here and they said they cant do anything and sent me to Mojang and behold they say they cant do anything and send me right back here

i also tried the forgot username and put my email and it still never sent anything but i have an account linked to that email and for obvious reasons can't make a new one because well its used and not sending any of the links

You are going to need to trace the email route to see if anything could be dropping the mail, and talk to the Mojang admins about the possibility of deletion, or the wrong email addresses being associated.

Yeah sorry for the contradictory statements I didn't mean to do that but you've got the gest of it basically everything there is what I've tried and I'm pretty good at looking though stuff and narrowing down the problem I don't have anything being filtered though anything sadly idk if it's been deleted by the admins and I also use the same user for everything so I don't know if that's the case but it could be I'm just confused because I remember making it and using it a few times so I know it was that username I could go and contact Mojang again but they will more then likely do the same thing they did last time and send me back here

If you can't find out where the emails are being dropped (assuming that's the problem), then yes, the next step is talking to Mojang again. If they come back with "it's a Jira problem", then fine, but we will need them to explain exactly where the problem/bug is before we can help any more.

To me, your descriptions are screaming "permission issue" with your account, without quite ruling out "bug". That suggests that the Mojang Jira admins need to chase it down (and the community is not your admins).

If they do send you back to us, please tell us everything they say on the technical side - please obscure anything that might be sensitive (We don't need "Dave logged in from the Nag's Head", we need "someone logged in from somewhere")

alright sounds good to me I figured it was probably a permission issue but its just weird ill try to update if I can but I think I'm just at a loss here tbh but hopefully that's not the case and ill defiantly obscure sensitive info lol

now that minecraft started migrating mojang accounts into microsoft ones, minecraft-launcher one of the problem that people are having is about the launcher from aur asking for password everytime you opens it, that can be solved by installing gnome-keyring, that's ok, pretty straight forward.

for me it's working, it remembers my login and password, but only until I reboot my machine, that the next time after a reboot that I open the minecraft-launcher, it asks for microsoft login and password and gnome-keyring password again.

Your Technic account has nothing to do with the Technic Launcher, nor do you require to use that to log in. You have to log in using your premium Minecraft account (meaning that you must have bought the game on minecraft.net).

The best way to test if it's a Mojang or Technic problem: download Minecraft's vanilla launcher from Mojang. Log in. Did it work? Then you should use the same username and password on Technic launcher

When creating minecraft servers, you should use an unprivileged user to create and manage Minecraft servers. For most distros, this will be with the adduser username command. The password you set during user creation will also be the password used for the web-ui.
