With "Installed Programs" module, Total Uninstall analyzes the installed program and creates the installation log. This is used to do a complete uninstall, without the help of the provided built-in uninstaller.

The "Monitored Programs" module helps monitor any changes made to your system during the installation of a new program. It allows you to perform a complete uninstall without having to rely on the supplied built-in uninstaller, which can leave files or changes behind.

I am trying to uninstall Bitdefender Total Security 2022 on my Windows10 64bit PC after a failed installation. It does not appear on the Windows program list for installation/uninstallation. Bitdefender Agent appears on the list but cannot be uninstalled due to BD total security.

6) Open registry editor through run command (windows icon + R) and then type regedit. Once registry editor opens, click on edit -> find, make sure to tick mark match whole strings only. Type bitdefender in search box and click find next. If any file or folder under name of bitdefender is found, delete it. Continue searching the registry and deleting until the search will report no registry keys found.

Once your respective bitdefender product is installed, a bitdefender dialogue box will open where you will need to login with your registered bitdefender online central details and after a successful login, your product will be synchronized with your online bitdefender central account. Henceforth, your product will get registered & activated with online bitdefender central automatically.

The typical uninstall process is not working as it should be. App developers pack everything like app files, Registry entries & commands into a Windows installer with .exe extension. However, the operating system does not monitor or record where these files or services to be installed, what settings or Registry entries are going to be added or changed, or dictates the way the app is going to run. And it is the responsibility of the developers for app removal and cleanups. In most cases, the official uninstaller included & installed during the installation is good enough to remove most things it has created and changed, with only a few empty folders or entries that are simple for everyone to remove. However, apps do not ship with a well-built uninstaller, resulting in messy issues like corrupted files, loads of leftover files & error messages, and causing system slowdown, longer bootup time & slow program response and instability issues.

Privacy and affordable pricing should be essential for everyone. Privacy and security can't be a bargaining chip or compromised features for you to ignore. You might have tried the so-called free cleaners and utilities to clean up or fix the messy issues. However, most of these tools are loaded with ads, bundled with or upsell to other apps, with or without your consent. As a result, your device is at the risk of privacy infringement and even security breach like being hacked. Alternatively, if you go for some paid solutions, you might be realizing most of the paid tools are charging a fee for a pro license with high pricing plans, and require you to renew the license every month or every year, or ask you to pay for version upgrade every few years. That is a high cost for every user to maintain utility tools for Windows devices.

Total Uninstaller is the state-of-art uninstaller designed to remove unwanted Windows apps effectively and completely. It is simple and safe to use, and the streamlined features enable you to maintain a better Windows device state by effectively removing unused/unwanted apps, associated leftover files like registry entries and installed services completely and safely, without being worried of incorrectly deleting wrong items or causing system malfunction. The newly-added tools come in handy to free up your disk space and tidy up your desktop: Shortcut Cleaner used to find and delete invalid desktop shortcut items, and Folder Cleaner used to locate empty folders in the app's installation directory.

Hey folks...I did something dumb. I let a fake review site convince me to download and install Total AV. Turns out it's more a virus than anti-virus. Tried to delete it, but a pop-up window tells me it can't be trashed because it's running. Went to bunch of sites to find out how to get rid of it, but they were almost all dummy sites from Total AV. Anyone know how to uninstall Total AV?

Contact the developers and ask them for uninstall instructions. If they cannot provide it then try dragging the app to the Trash and emptying the Trash. Otherwise you will have to do an erase and re-install Mac OS and start over again.

Thanks for the quick response. No point in trying to contact them for uninstall. They have a plethora of sites with different names that give uninstall instructions that ask for money for uninstall software. They'll just give me a link to one of those sites or sell me uninstall software that I won't be able to uninstall. It dragging it does nothing. I'm guessing that Apple, I would hope, has a solution to this.
