Updates since the last feature email:

- pre-commit.ci has reached 60,000 runs!

- autoupdate commit message can now be configured with `autoupdate_commit_msg` -- more details: https://pre-commit.ci/#configuration-autoupdate_commit_msg

- improve runner clone performance by 5%

- improve fast-path of image acquisition by 20-40ms (20-40ms -> 100-300μs)

- improve overall performance by 35-45% by using larger ec2 instances

- improve reliability by using larger ec2 instances (in response to degradation on 2021-04-27)
