ma sha Allah -- the maps now load faster than they have ever loaded
before!
alhamdolillah, someone from the Google Maps Forums gave me some good
advice. now the code maps are much more efficient than they have ever
been.
if you attempt to view the whole world at once, or even the whole of
the united states, you will find load times to be very slow. but that
problem no longer has anything to do with the code -- displaying so
many jamat at once will slow down your system because the computer
expects you to click on a marker.
so it might be possible to improve performance even at the world-level
zoom if the markers at that level are stripped of their infowindows
(and accompanying eventlisteners).
that would require learning how to use GMarkerManager, though.
and now that system performance is much better than it ever was -- the
map no longer loads on the whole world view anyway -- the next goal
is, inshaAllah, to complete the code changes to allow real-time iqamat
updates.
