Salam. I was wondering if the developers have looked into using
GOOGLE EARTH as the thick client application for furthering
development. The reason why I suggest this is that the Google Earth
community is universally used all over the world. And anybody who
downloads a copy of google earth (which is free), they are potentailly
able to see all the masajid around the world. There is so much
capability and potential for google earth, that I strongly advise
switching over from google maps. That way, the whole world can
witness the masajid. The reason why this idea came to me was because
I am doing some google earth research and development and I noticed
that there weren't many masajid listed as placemarks, whereas I saw
many churches and other places of worship.

bismillah. wa alaykumus salam and welcome to the dev group. :)

google earth is a very cool application, and i agree that having the
masjid information there would be a benefit. i do not think it would
replace the web-based prayinjamat.com though.

if you would like to move forwards in adding the prayinjamat.com data
to Google Earth, I will give you all the data we have, inshaAllah.
and i can arrange for you to receive updates when new locations are
added to the site.

if you can do so, please make sure (1) the prayinjamat.com web site is
credited for the data, and (2) that updates/corrections made via
Google Earth are sent to me, or posted here, so that they can be
incorporated into the web site as well.

may Allah make your work a blessing for you and for those who use it.
