November 2008 Update

Dear Prayer Supporters,

I was sharing with a friend the other day, that even though I came
back from Hong Kong for only 3 weeks, it feels like I have been back
for 3 months! A lot has happened in the last few weeks, and they
indeed shaked up my whole life from the bottom up (in a good way).
The Lord is preparing me to do something different in my ministry.
Not only different, but something bigger, something of greater impact,
and something closer to his heart. This in no way implies that I am
better than any other. In fact, seeing the larger vision from God
only makes me more humble. Who can compare to the incomprehensible
wisdom of God?

Yes, we received a great vision from God recently during my visit to
Hong Kong. Maybe some of you have learned about this on Facebook.
After a month of prayer, we are now ready to share with you our new
vision. We will be hosting a vision sharing gathering on Dec 2. It
will be an intimate time for sharing and prayer. You can find more
information about this meeting on Facebook Event.

The vision is not about AFC, but about a new (well, in Webber's term,
ancient-future...) paradigm of discipleship and evangelism, about a
different future for the church, about a movement. It sounds
mysterious, but it is difficult to explain in a short letter, so after
the meeting, we will put the recording on the web. I hope you can
share with us this vision too.

And in order for me to engage in this new vision, there will be a lot
of new learnings for me on every level of my life. God has started to
"re-engineer" my life already in unexpected ways. It sounds scary
(and it is) but I trust that God is faithful to carry me through all
of these changes so that I can serve Him better. With this in mind,
please pray for me:

1. that I have the willingness, submission and humility to be molded
by God in new ways,
2. that I have the wisdom, courage and faith needed for the new
ministries,
3. that God will protect my family and my staff team in all spiritual
attack.

Thanks for your support. I really need that in such critical moments.
