Dear Prayer Supporters,

This is a story about perfect timing.

In the beginning of March I went to Pasadena, California for my first
D.Min. session at Fuller Theological Seminary. I returned on Friday,
March 12, and received the news that the long anticipated cardio
surgery of Pastor Anders of my home church was finally scheduled for
March 15. So after a brief rendez-vous on Sunday March 14 with them,
both Pastor Anders and Pastor Gladys (his wife) commence their leave
of absence, leaving me behind to take care of the church for 2 weeks.
Thanks God that everything went well both in the operation room and at
church. Pastor Anders recovered very well, and nothing catastrophic
happened at church.

On April 1, Pastor Gladys resumed working, just in time for the Maundy
Thursday Service, while I took care of the Good Friday Service. I
preached on Easter Sunday while Pastor Gladys baptized 6 new
Christians. In the evening of Easter Sunday, I met with the Jubilant
at AFC for a training session. Later that night at home, I talked to
my wife's tummy, "Boy, I'm ready for you to come," as I have finished
all my speaking and teaching engagements for April and as Pastor
Gladys has returned to the church office from her leave. My wife's
original due date was April 20, but due to the complications of her
pregnancy, we were trying to get an earlier date for C-section. The
date assigned by the hospital was April 12, but we keep hoping for an
earlier date.

Easter Monday morning, my wife woke me up because she has some light
spotting. After consulting with her doctor on the phone, we went to
the hospital for check-up. It turned out that she was ready to deliver
her baby, and our third boy Aslan Immanuel Yu was born that afternoon.
Because of his early arrival, I could have almost three full weeks
working from home while taking care of him, before my next speaking
engagement hit. What perfect timing.

The perfect timing story didn't end here. Pastor Anders should be able
to return to the church office in early June, just in time for my 2-
week leave going to Florida to attend my graduate ceremony at The
Institute for Worship Studies.

Everything is indeed in God's hand. Before we keep asking why the
operation of Pastor Anders was kept being delayed. But as we look back
now, everything could not have happened in a better timing. We can
really trust in His wisdom and providence.

Please continue to pray for me. The several projects that I am working
on (Pornographic Addiction Small Group, Teleios discipleship camp,
Sunday school on Devotion) all require a lot of spiritual strength.
Please pray that I can consistently be renewed in my spirit despite
the toil of taking care of a new born baby. I have faith that the
grace of the Lord is always sufficient for me and for anyone who trust
in Him.

In Christ,
Alan Yu
