DISA Details not updated in MEF- ICAI

Gentlemen

 

I qualified DISA in June 2013 (ISA Reg No. 35981, ICAI Mem No. 227344). However, the Multipurpose Empanelment Form(MEF) appears to be un- updated as the related tab (page 2, point no. 4) restricts me to key in/modify necessary details.

 

Further currently there is no provision to enter additional qualifications that a member may have like Certification in Concurrent Audit of Banks, IFRS, Indirect Taxes, International Taxation, etc  conducted by ICAI.

 

I request that immediate action be taken for the provision of the above. Thanking you in anticipation.

Dear Mr. Vivek

 

Thank You for the information. Does it mean that members who qualified in June (which falls before announcement of MEF) will not be eligible to claim so? However, I believe members can quote the updated info, in the tab ‘MOC’ (page 1 of MEF, last tab). I shall follow the same.

 

How about mentioning other qualifications in MEF, members may have, which I mentioned in the trailing mail.

Sir,

I would like to inform you that MEF data is always taken on 1st January of every year. Since you have qualified DISA only in June 2013 that's why the same is not reflected in the MEF application.

Dear Ashish,

Perhaps the reason for including DISA and not including the certificate courses in the MEF is that they are certificate courses and not a diploma like DISA. May be that will be included after all the agencies who use our MEF recognise these certifications. else what could be the cause ...... May be ICAI can only throw light on it.

Even this info was what I gathered from CC Members sometime back.

Dear all,

1.Certificates courses are not considered as additional qualification Because the Provision/ recongnition  through the  Additional words Like DISA, Is not mentioned in the certificate courses,this is what i understands when i applied to Institute for "Certificate course on Forensic accounting and fraud detection"

2.For Diploma courses we need to send our Qualification details with copy of certificates to Chennai office for updation,
