Prior to starting a YouTube channel, Ting worked as an actuarial analyst.[9] She has published a thesis on financial markets and was a Presenter & Chairperson at the Australasian Finance & Banking Conference.[10]
Ting began her self-titled YouTube channel in 2011 while she was still working in statistics.[11] She started posting videos from March 2016, when she was 29 years old. Originally, her content discussed fashion and travel, but by 2017, her channel became entirely focused on fitness.[9][12] Her August 2019 video, "Get Abs in Two Weeks", went viral after other bloggers and vloggers tried the workouts depicted therein.[13] As of September 2023, that video has 517 million views.[14][15]

I am also a constant grazer. Being at home all the time, with ready access to the kitchen, I found myself grazing almost constantly. Even if it was on mostly healthy stuff. I tried intermittent fasting as well.
The overall result of my half-hearted efforts was that I would lose a couple of kilos and gain them back again. And so it went for quite some time. It was mentally exhausting, and frankly, I felt like what was even the point of making any effort.
So yes, the weight started to come off, and yes, it was starting to stay off. Somewhere along the way, I discovered Chloe Ting on YouTube, and I could not believe the kind of results people were getting from doing her program. And I was motivated enough to give it a try myself.
Personally for me, I will say that I was not following any crazy restrictive diet over the course of the challenge. A few things I was mindful of: avoiding overeating, having grains only a couple of times a week, and eating lots of protein and veggies. Also, I was fasting for nearly 16 hours a day, almost everyday.
There is also something to be said about the intensity of the programs. I recommend starting a Shred Challenge after you have done some of the other programs, as those workouts are the hardest. But also the most effective in my opinion.
I personally discovered Chloe ting about a year ago, July 2019, to be precise. I was searching for exercises to get a smaller waist, and the first video YouTube recommended to me was her "GET ABS IN 2 WEEKS VIDEO".
The exercises also become easier in a faster pace, preventing the feeling of soreness and sweatiness, which for most people, especially myself, stand as proof that they've had a good workout so without the sweat and soreness. From this, I just don't get the satisfaction anymore.
I didn't know about this challenge until I was on the depths of Youtube and saw many videos of girls completing it. I decided to start this challenge because (a) anybody can do something for only two weeks & (b) a boy said something rude about my body and I wanted to prove him wrong. If you want to see what it is- you can click here.
I'm not going to lie- I was sore from day 1. My abs and my arms hadn't been worked out like that in a long time, so there was some anticipation going into day 2. Was I going to get more sore? Will the workout be easier than the first day since I know what's coming? Day 2 is the exact same workout as day 1, and I'm not quite sure why that is- but maybe it's to get you used to the program...I'm not too sure. However, after completing the second day of workouts- I didn't find myself as tired as I had been after the first one. It was also easier since you have the advantage of knowing what's about to happen. I'm not going to lie- day 3 is going to be twice as difficult as today and I'm personally not ready.
Well, I guess I really mean letting my throw all my clothes over your floor and leaving shoes in your closet for months at a time. Even though you already warned me that I can't do that when we move in together.
Nothing says Christmas like a cozy flannel paired with jeans and a vest. They are the essential pieces for a holiday-inspired outfit, and if you are celebrating Christmas eve by having a few relatives over, then this outfit will definitely be suitable for the occasion.
This Christmas classic instantly makes me feel cheery and bright. The lyrics remind me that everyone is together in celebrating the holiday and making sure it truly is the most wonderful time of the year.
There'll be parties for hosting
Marshmallows for toasting
And caroling out in the snow
There'll be scary ghost stories
And tales of the glories of
Christmases long, long agoIt's the most wonderful time of the year
Every time I hear this song I instantly feel like I'm sitting in front of my fireplace in my cozy PJ pants with some hot cocoa. It reminds me of all the seemingly little moments that all add up to make the season joyful and merry.
This one always takes me back to my childhood. I feel like I'm 7 years old again putting out cookies for Santa and being so excited for him to come that I can't sleep! The whole season brings us back to our childhoods and makes us all feel like little excited children who believe in magic again.
Not only is this great that so many people are bettering their long term health, but working out, alongside healthy eating, is also one of the best ways to build a stronger defense system against the coronavirus.
Many users have praised the sweat-inducing regime for sculpting their physique during quarantine, while gyms were closed. Notably, people have claimed that the #ChloeTingChallenge has helped them achieve a defined stomach in just a fortnight.
In the descriptions of her most popular videos, Ting says her "video titles are subjective and shouldn't be seen as absolute truth. As an example, targeting fat reduction is not scientifically proven but a video title might suggest otherwise."
Whether you're looking to get a more defined core or just get stronger, it's important to prioritize good form in exercising, be realistic about your goals, remember nutrition if you're looking for weight loss, and finally, be patient about getting the results you want. For that, you'll likely want to look beyond quick-fix YouTube routines.
Exercise can help reduce body fat (and build muscle to raise your metabolic rate) but unless you're putting in hours a day, that only goes so far, since the majority of our daily calories are burned at rest.
Ting's video claim to offer abs in just weeks, but whether that will work for you depends on where you're starting from. If you're already relatively slim, a few weeks of defining your ab muscles may be enough to see results. But if you have a larger body size, burning fat and toning muscle in a healthy way can take months or years.
Ting's videos aren't a bad place to start if you need a free, convenient workout, since they do target a wide variety of muscle groups. There's constant movement and little resting, making it a good option for fitness beginners.
Hello. This is not really about any fitnessblender videos just general working out. So, me and my gf are trying the chloe ting 4 week shred. BUT, you work on your abs every single day. I personally don't think that that's okay. I feel like it's overtraining but so many people are praising these workouts. Opinions?
Reverse crunch: To do a reverse crunch, lie on your back and put your legs in a tabletop position. Engage your core and breathe in to lift your hips off the floor and your legs back up over your chest. Breathe out as you lower back into your starting position. That's one rep.
Spiderman plank: Starting from a plank position, bring one knee out to your side to touch the elbow on the same side, then take it back to your starting position. Repeat on the other side.
Crossbody mountain climbers: Also known as X mountain climbers. This time, starting from a plank position, bend one knee underneath your body to tap the elbow on the opposite side. Move as quickly as possible as you switch from side to side.
Russian twist: To do a Russian twist, get into a V-hold position, sitting on your seat bones and leaning back slightly to engage your core. Twist your torso side to side, almost tapping your clasped hands to the side of your body each time. Ting keeps her heels on the floor for this move, but you can raise your legs to make the exercise harder.
In and out: To do an in-and-out crunch, start sitting up in a V position with your arms behind you and your palms flat on the floor. As you extend your legs out straight, lean your torso back. As you bring your knees back into your chest, lean back in. To make it more challenging, lift your hands from the floor.
Plank jacks: From a plank position, jump both legs out to the side of your mat, then jump them back in so that you are back in your starting position. Keep jumping your legs in and out for the full 30 seconds.
Up and down planks: Start in a plank position with your palms flat on the floor and your arms straight. Bend your left elbow, then your right elbow, lowering yourself down into a forearm plank, then reverse the movement, so you are back in your starting position.
Reverse crunch leg extension: To do a reverse crunch, lie on your back and put your legs up to the ceiling. Engage your core and breathe in to lift your hips off the floor and your legs back up over your chest. Breathe out as you lower back into your starting position, then straighten the legs and extend them out and down to the floor. That's one rep.
