पार्थ नैवेह नामुत्र विनाशस्तस्य विद्यते ।
न हि कल्याणकृत्कश्चित्  दुर्गतिं तात गच्छति ॥
(This is actually the second of the 8 shloka-s of bhagavadgItA, collectively referred to as pratijnAgItA - compiled by swami Shivananda.  The shlokaH from the 6th was the 3rd.)

Oh, pArtha (arjuna)!  No downfall exists for him here (on earth), nor in the world beyond (afterlife).  Nor does he, whoever, that does some good, perish, my dear.

Even a single, or, a few good thoughts, work in his favor.  In the future, when he follows through and does a good act, he cannot perish - there is no possibility of that.  Living on earth, or, in the afterlife, he will not perish.

The only possibility for him is सद्गतिः - good path and or destination.  दुर्गतिः - A bad path or a bad destination is not  a possibility for him.
What we see here is - first, a good thought.  Then a good deed.
And, death is not the end!  There is the lifeafter, and rebirth.  Every subsequent birth is going to be better than the previous, for such a person.

The illustration shows the 'measure' of puNya for a person who has good thoughts, and subsequently follows it up with good action.  The only path for him is the good, and never the bad.
